I know, I know, this should be in singles and dating.

I saw her one day several months ago and she smiled at me and I was kind of blown away at how attractive I found her to be after that. Yes, okay, I'm in my 20s with a crush like a teenager again. So as a way of flirting, I gave her a thank you card for making my day. Since then, makes small talk each time I come in and insists I don't need to pay.

Do nice baristas just do that from time to time? Should I read into it at all? Should I gather the balls to ask her out? Or would I just a creepy patron then?

Extra detail: I left my e-mail address on the thank-you card... that was a few months ago now... and haven't received anything from her.

Well, its tough to really tell without knowing you or details, but I will say that as a regular at Starbucks, I do get free coffee from time to time, but not every time I come in.
That should be a sign right there.
If after you gave her the thank you note and she wasn't creeped out, and is talking with you and giving you free coffee, I would say that is a sign then.
Totally get the cojones to ask her out! :)

Definitely not normal - unless it's a 'driver reviver' coffee shop. If she's still talking to you, ask her out.

As for not replying to emails, maybe she's rare and doesn't own a computer or have email capabilities on cell phone.

Free coffee is not the norm. Then they wouldn't make any money. If you like her, ask her out..
