Yes, plenty of people have been harmed by Scientology. Thankfully I've been fortunate enough to never confront the organization directly. There have been a number of people who have had very bad experiences with Scientology. Read about it here:

Here are more "bad experiences" with the cult including an illegal plot to infiltrate the government, brainwashing techniques, mind control camps, attacks on critics, and DEATHS caused by Scientology doctrine and members:
• Operation Snow White – Under this official program, Scientology operatives committed infiltration, wiretapping, & theft of documents in government offices. This program constituted the single largest infiltration of the United States government in history. Among the 11 prominent Scientologists convicted of this conspiracy was Mary Sue Hubbard, the wife of Scientology’s “prophet”.

http://en.allexperts.com/e/o/op/operation_snow_white.htm
• Operation Freakout - Their campaign of sabotage & violence against Paulette Cooper, the writer who published her research & findings on several cults, including Scientology. Scientology’s official plan: to frame Paulette, ruin her career & reputation & get her either incarcerated or locked up in psychiatric confinement.
The official plan: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Krasel/cooper/frk1.html
Her book: http://holysmoke.org/cos/books/scandal-of-scientology-cooper.pdf
• Fair Game - the Scientology policy detailing how the organization may confront & handle critics & perceived enemies. Here is a direct quote: "Enemies may be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed.”
http://www.xenu.net/archive/disk/fairgame.htm
http://www.planetkc.com/sloth/sci/Fair_game_ord.html
• Physical & psychological punishment: Scientologists who "break the rules" while members of the "Sea Org" must subject themselves to the Rehabilitation Project Force (RPF), which includes regimes of harsh physical punishment, forced self-confessions, social isolation, hard labor and intensive ideological indoctrination.

http://www.xs4all.nl/~kspaink/cos/rpf/escape_2.htm
• Brainwashing & mind control: Scientology exerts control over its members by means of typical cult tactics, including but not limited to controlling information about internal doctrine & criticism of the organization, severely restricting social contact outside the cult (including the practice of “disconnecting” with any family who question the credibility & trustworthiness of the cult), creating an “us against them” mentality by villainizing a specific out-group (for Scientology, it’s psychiatrists), & claiming all those outside the cult are unenlightened.

• Violent Kidnapping - Lisa McPherson was a Scientologist, was involved in a car accident & resultantly became mentally unstable. She was kidnapped from the hospital by agents of Scientology, held against her will, refused proper psychiatric treatment & allowed to STARVE TO DEATH.

• Tragic Murder - A CBS “48 Hours” special on Jeremy Perkins, the mentally disturbed son of Scientologist parents who, because of the Scientology doctrine of opposing psychiatry, refused to put him on the anti-psychotic drugs that would have stabilized him & prevented him from killing his own mother.

No. Infact particularly the choice. i've got been in touch with Scientology for over 35 years and seem at myself to be a Scientologist. I even have helped lots of those with countless issues like drug addiction and literacy problems employing Scientology technologies. I even have experienced the consequence of this technologies for myself and it is been thoroughly rewarding and extremely validating for me in my opinion and spiritually. i comprehend lots of people who've had comparable reports to mine. As Gandalf pronounced you do no longer probable clarify the way you grew to become ashamed of each little thing you do and picture. This is mindless to me. I even have by no potential come throughout the time of something in Scientology that has this consequence . in fact Scientology teaches you that no it is common to invalidate you without your contract. you may could desire to be extreme of your self first. it is the overts and witholds concept easily and why it extremely is important sparkling issues up, because of the fact you're extremely solid and could finally end up combating your self and withholding your comprehend-how . it extremely is a topic-loose barrier to religious freedom. What precisely did you disagree with? Did you study any of the subject-loose books ? P.S. Who and the place are all "those human beings" who say how risky it extremely is besides. it extremely is in basic terms a splash a generality. they do no longer seem conversing up, given the possibility. people who do say this, yet do no longer say how, are patently in basic terms spreading destructive rumors for consequence and are in all probability against something that facilitates others, including religion

First of all, I hardly believe that you were "dragged" into their building and forced to watch some video- get real guy. Don't make a religion you don't care for a personal crusade to lynch its members for your "righteous cause". Surely you would have fought that person off if they accosted you in such a manner and turned them into the local authorities. Save the BS for Sunday. And if you are so focused on them, maybe another member needs to "drag" you into another video session again...no weeping here, sorry!

It's not even a church... it's a business (refer to Germany's declination to allow Scientology to gain "religion" status a few years ago, informing them that they were, indeed, a business). I'd have a hard time taking a self-proclaimed church seriously when they swindle people out of thousands of dollars just to join, consider legitimate psychiatrists to be their archenemy, think that aliens inhabit their bodies, and especially considering the whole thing was cooked up by a low-rated science-fiction-writer scheister in the 50's.

Which Church were you at? When was it? Who was it? Did you report it? http://www.cchr.org/index.cfm/7352
No, I have not been harmed. I have seen Scientologists help many people.
It is interesting to me that a group that who aim it is to rid the world of lies, coruption, inhumanity, drug abuse and free all beings to rise to greater height could be considered dangerous.
If you want to stay degraded or allow the insanity to continue you would attack and stop a group that is indeed helping others.
