They would get better responses (though lab girl comes and kicks a little аss in here once in a while) and they are building up their faith first.

I love science! It proves intelligence is the answer over and over except for those who bring their prejudices to the table when they examine things.
Divine intelligence is not different from scientific intelligence except for the fact that it is vastly superior. God is obviously smarter than all the people who have ever lived, live now or will ever live in the future. Infinite you know!!! By the way, infinite means without limit! Leaves out all humans scientific or not.

Perhaps they want to be obnoxious and confrontational. Just ignore them. Remember "faith is the evidence of things not seen." I often check out various scientific data if it peeks my interest. But I agree with you. It seems this should be reserved for those with genuine spiritual or religious questions. And they should not have to suffer ridicule just because they ask a question that's on their heart or mind. Remember what you're not supposed to cast your pearls before.

Many people who ask science questions in this category are doing so to bait fundamentalist Christians, and aren't looking for a scientific answer.

Please do not send these delusional morons over to biology. We have enough stupid question there now. That is why I am here. To bring the fight to these morons, as that seemingly is what they want.
Wikisider. I thought I was in the mythology section!
I did not know that labgirl ever came here; live and learn.

I've noticed this, too... apparently people seem to confuse topics like evolution, plate techtonics, and cosmology for "religious" questions.

Because any honest scientist answer to evolution is
"We don't know"
That's why is called a "theory"
