Within ten years we will see a Woman be competetive in NASCAR; no doubt about that. Yes, there will be some fuss'n and cuss'n from a small minority of sexist biggots out there; but a vast majority of the NASCAR Nation will support and even cheer a Woman succeeding in NASCAR.

You mentioned Sarah Fisher and Danica Patrick. Sarah Fisher has done well in ARCA and may be the most likely of the two to transition successfully into the Cup. Danica on the other hand has done some things that have even soured her with NASCAR's Female Fans.

Danica's posing in lengerie and swimsuits to bulster IRL rating and exposure have left many Female Racing Fans a bit upset with her and she has lost an incredible amount of respect from Drivers of every genre.

There have been women in NASCAR before, but unfortunately, they just couldn't cut it. Now, however, there are more female racers, and also more young girls interested in racing. Sure, there will be a woman in NASCAR. Will she be able to make it? Who knows? Maybe. Danica Patrick, I'm afraid, will never make it. The drivers that race against her say, if they enter a turn side by side, she will always....always lift. Nobody that races against her gives her much of an honest chance of winning in Indy, though they may say differently out in public. Danica? Probably not. A woman in NASCAR in the future? Absolutely possible.

Yes there will be a female driver again. Each generation that a new female drive runs ,they get better.
Sarah Fisher was with the Richard Childress development program the past couple of years and had some fair races on the NASCAR WEST series. There are several female drivers in various teams diversity and developmental programs.
So hang in there and we will see a female soon.

Nascar would love it if a woman was a successful driver in the sport. They would love it if minorities became successful. If there was a successful lady or minority driver in Nascar sponsors would be lined up out the door. But until a lady can hang with Gordon, Stewart, Kenseth, etc. it will be predominantly white males. Personally I don't care. As long as the racing is good and exciting I don't care who is driving the car. But just like Gene said, there will be plenty of biggots out there complaining that a woman is in the sport.

It wouldn't be too bad if a girl enters, and no, Danica Patrick does not wreck every race, she actually rarely crashes, every week she seems to get around 8th place from what I've seen, only problem is that with her cautious driving style, she hasn't been able to challenge for wins much.
If a girl has the talent, and wants to join the sport, sure they will let her in, there's no law saying girls can't race.

i think sarah fisher would have the best shot. she has experience in the truck series and also ARCA and ASA, which are "cousins" to NASCAR. whether she could win? yes, if she gets a GOOD ride and a good sponsor.

Check out Janet Guthrie. She was a NASCAR Racer 30 years ago, and very good at it.

If Danica Patrick started driving for NASCAR she would NEVER make it to the Cup Series, and she would finish between 35th-43rd place in Busch Series. Erin Crocker couldn't do it, other women couldn't do it. It's just a male sport. I'm female, and I wouldn't want to see no Danica Patrick racing in NASCAR. I heard she wrecks all the time in Indy racing so she'd defiantly wreck in a stock car.

There are already a couple girls in Nascar. They just can't seem to qualify for any of the races.
