I asked the guy I like if he was interested and he seemed really nervous. He kept looking away and was like "Yes, no..yeah, but no." What does this mean?? He can't make up his mind or he just doesn't want to hurt my feelings?

Then he ended with saying "the answer's no" but he seemed like he felt bad.

I think he likes you but is really shy, maybe you came on a little too strong. I'm a guy, I know how they think.
Some guys are really shy about meeting girls; if you like him you could make the first move but you have to be very careful you don't want to be really agressive and forward; you might scare him away. The trick is to get him on a date without it being obvious. You could say to him casually, some of my friends and I are going out for [insert activity here] would you like to come along? (you will need to have a couple of friends, that you can trust to not blow your cover, "in on" your scheme in advance). Also select an activity that will allow you to interact with each other (important, don't go to a movie, opera, or anything where you have to sit and be quiet!) When you get to wherever your going, try to have your two friends talk mostly with each other so you have the guy to yourself! Just try to get him to talk with you about anything, it doesn't have to be important. Please give the guy a break if his conversation isn't exactly brilliant; if he's shy, he's probably so nervous just talking with a girl his brain will be like mush! When you talk with him be certian you are looking at him and remember to smile; look, I don't need to be telling you how to flirt! I think you've got the idea. Good luck!

I know exactly how he feels. He's indecisive, I'm that way too. If you like him, try to take more control of the situation. I think he is interested but is extremely nervous. You can help out a lot by spending time together and getting to know each other better. If he doesn't pursue you as much as you like, don't take it as he's not interested, he may not know when or how often to call you. I hope this helps.

He may have wanted to try and start a conversation with you on his own, and your approach may have scared him a little. If he's that shy, that is........
If you want to try again, you might send him a text or an email... something where you aren't RIGHT THERE, you know? Give him some space... make it known that you are interested, but not over bearing.
Just a thought........
Good luck!

well I'm a rather shy guy around all people espesially when a girl asks me out, its just the way some shy people are we don't have any courage or self cofidence when it comes to relationships.
I don't like to date to much cause alot of girls have only liked me because I'm a virgin but a lot of them don't know that I'm stayin one till I'm married. I don't want a relationship unless I can slip something shiny on their finger eventually.(I'm 16 so I have a ways to go...)
