Me and this guy started e-mailing e/o 2 months ago and ever since then we have become really close. He flirts w/ me ALL the time (He e-mails me all day everyday, he brings up little things from past conversations, he sits near me everyday in class, he looks for me before school so we could talk, he compliments me, he smiles when we talk, he keeps eye contact, says he's sorry for anything he did wrong, and a lot more) B/c of all this everybody thought we were going out and I assumed he liked me. But in a recent e-mail conversation, he told me that he told this girl who he liked and that he's scared that she'll tell and when I asked him who he liked he described her as somebody that was nothing like me but never told me the name. Why would he flirt with me and then tell me he likes someone else???

Thats weird. The way you describe it I would think that he has a crush on you! You can try to confront him and ask about it if you really wanna know. Maybe though, he could just see you as his best friend and is comfrotable enough to flirt with you and not have it mean anything.. (I had one just like, but we didn't like LIKE eachother) Ask about, if you guys are such good friends then you shouldn't have to worry about it becoming a big deal.

some people in this world may be stuck between a past crush and a new one I know how it feels my BF has a brother and they both flirted with me and i went out with my bF instead of his brother and in the end The brother asks me out then two minutes later he accidently foworded the email of him asking out my best friend lets just say he blew it. so these things happen don't feel bad it's not your fault.

B/c he also has an interested in someone else too. So he needs to make up his mind and quit playen games. Sounds to me that he feels you but this other girl tickles is pickle(interest), so he probably is curious. I think that is wrong for him to lead you on and then drop a bomb on you about it.
So ignore him for a while,play hard to get, and you decide if you still want to continue. he may want his cake and to eat it too.
