The kingdom of God is inside you. Thy kingdom come is a plea for all to accept the Lord.
Thy will be done is a plea for all to accept the will of God rather than struggle to assert their own. Don't get me wrong. Sometimes the will of God means a fight unto itself. Such as when St. Francis of Assisi followed the will of God to reform the church.

Me, the great Bible scholar that I am, thinks it means what it says. Sorta free-translated, it would be: I am praying that your kingdom on Earth will soon arrive. I pray that your will is done here on this wretched planet just like it is always without doubt done in Heaven where you reign.
It is just someone asking for God to assert his power on Earth and that God's will override all else.

"Kingdom" really means "will" in this instance. So this would translate out Your will come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is an example prayer after the disciples asked Jesus how they should pray. The example he shows them is one of several in this chapter, praying specifically for God's will to be done.

Many people may have different interpretations for this particular part of our Lord's Prayer. But it is praying for God's will to be done on earth.
First of all, we live in a sinful world but God has a perfect will for each one of us, and for all of mankind. In this particular verse, it is asking for God's sovereignity to be upon the affairs of men whether personal, communal, societal or global. This part of our Lord's prayer (and the rest of it) is teaching us Christians on 'how' to pray. When we pray we are to adore / worship God first; Confess our sins and ask for forgiveness; Thank God for His blessings; And petition our concerns or pray for supplication.
"Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven..." This also means the victorious reign of our God. Whatever happens on this earth, His Word and His kingdom will prevail.

Well, as you can see... the world is FAR from perfect. Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven, God is God. He is in Heaven where angels and saints all know to worship him and do so freely. We have to convince those around us to try and worship him as well on Earth as it is in Heaven. We can't just pray for it, we have to pray for people to wnat it.

Yes, in a sense. It is the desire that earth become like heaven. Loving, peaceful etc. and that ALL people will worship God. In my opinion....it does not mean that we actually expect earth to become "the" heaven.

You pray for a literal government to take over rule of the earth as it originally was in Eden.

The kingdom of heaven begins in us and in the Church, where the will of God is being done in His name the Kingdom of God is being built.
