God is actually a really nice deity and is not busy banishing people to hell left and right?

You know, if it turns out he is the exact opposite of how the Bible describes him.

Bagman - - I'm pretty sure being a blasphemous liberal is a sin according to the religion...

I already believe that...so no it would not be a surprise. I don't recall that there is anywhere in the Bible that it is claimed that GOD will send people to hell. Even those verses that speak of hell...or the pit...or whatever do not say that God will send them there. It simply says that those who do not believe will go there. If I am misinterpreting...please enlighten me but that is how I read it. The only exception to that is in Revelation where Satan and his followers are sent to the pit as their final punishment for defying God's authority.

You are right God is a really nice deity as you put it. He is not busy banishing people to hell left and right.

God is a merciful God He doesn't send people to hell.
People send themselves to hell. Also, how can He be opposite of the bible in which He inspired.

What if it turns out to be exactly the way the BIBLE SAYS!
Where would you spend eternity? HEAVEN or HELL.

Remember that we will truly not know what He is like and what Heaven is like until we get there. The Bible describes God as a loving God and a God of wrath...so we will see when we pass from this place to the next...God Bless

I would be suprised. Actually, I'd probably laugh, thinking about the little old ladies that yelled at us kids 'you'd better behave or you'll go to hell' when I was a child.
Other than that, I guess it would be swell as I'm not worried about being banished.

Well I'm sure that most Christians would be thrilled that everybody has a chance to live in heaven with them. Not all Christians are all about jamming the threat of hell down everybodies throats.

God is a jellous God, but he is a loving God who wants the best for his children, as any good father would. God doesnt send people to hell, they send themselves to hell. God loves us so much that he sent his Son to die for us so that would could have a relationship with him. read your bible a little closer.

The Bible describes God as loving and gracious, only turning away the ones who rejected him. It's a good read. ;)

I would not be surprised. I would be fine with that everyone goes to heaven. In heaven we are going to be perfect and we are not wanting to be bad, so it is a safe place.

I don't know...Would you be surprised if you got to heaven and found out that being such a blasphemous liberal was a sin?
