I went out on a date with a guy I really like last week (we've been getting to know each other as friends since March). We had a great date, and a wonderful time. We clicked, we kissed, and he even said he might call me later that night. We did end up getting together later that night, and had a great second date. It included a lot of making out (I use the term liberally, since we did more than kiss). Two days later was date #3-- but this time, it struck me as strange that he didn't touch me or even kiss me until we said goodbye. It's been a week now and I haven't heard from him. I spoke to him online the other day; I asked him if he is no longer interested and he seemed confused and didn't know why I would assume that.

So what's up? From my perception, he seems to be gradually losing interest and just doesn't want to hurt my feelings. Am I reading too much into this?

Sounds a lot like you're getting the brush off. I've had great dates with guys too, and that was it...no further contact. It can be very confusing...

Just move forward with your own life and if you hear from him, bonus plan. Don't get your hopes up though...sorry.

I think you're right, he's losing interest. I'm confused: you say it took place in March. It's June now. However you say it's been a week... Anyway, 3 possibilities
1) no longer interested
2) wants to take it slow
3) trying to keep you "just in case"

Yes. You're reading too much into it. But if he doesn't call you soon or have another date (in the next couple of days) consider it over and dump the bum. You are too fine to put up with stupid man games.

Yep........not tryin' to be rude, hon, but yes, you blew it. Some of the people above, who answered your q. are just trying to get points. Listen, you were too easy, for one thing. Most guys will go every bit as far as you will let them. And yes, he has lost interest. Sex is for marriage, btw. Sounds like you don't have much going on in your life and he doesn't want to be wrapped up in a "clinging vine" with loose morals. Who has no where to go and nothing to do; boring! Sorry, hon, that's the facts of life. One more thing, hon, don't call him, let him phone or text you. His silence means he's not interested.

He sounds like he's not that into you....Actions speak louder than words...He's telling you he's still interested to keep you near....I think you should listen to your gut, because it is right...Whenever there is confusion, there is inconsistency...Whenever there is inconsistency, there is something or someone else keeping that person busy--and it aint you. Also, why don't you get straight to the point and ask him if he's met somebody else or if he likes somebody else more than you.

Maybe he wants to slow things down a bit. You have let him know how you feel because he might just be completely oblivious. Try it. And if you're just dating, don't be scared to drop him out of your life before things get serious and emotional.

He only wanted to get a quicky from you and now he's moved on to the next freak!! Stop being to easy to men, then you can probably keep them around longer.

You gave up the goodies too easy. Now that he sees what he can get he has kind of backed off. I think he's a jerk!!! sorry if I'm too harsh: (
