Club foot is very common. It can be mild or severe and the feet can be flexible or rigid. The cause is unknown. Risk factors include:
heredity
Edward's syndrome (a genetic chromosome disorder)
the position of the foot or feet in utero
some birth defects

My son was born with club feet and his was positional.
