What's the 4 year age difference? I guess as you're getting older that's fine, but not for someone who's 16 and 20 or younger than that.

It depends on how old both people are. If it's a 14 year old with an 18 year old it could cause a big problem. However, if one person's 30 & the other 34, then there shouldn't really be a problem. I think the probelm exists only when both people are young, but once you're older it shouldn't really matter. My dad is 9 years older than my mom & they've been happily married for almost 35 years! If it's true love, then age should not matter.

It depends on how old the two of you are.
If it's like 14 and 18 then it's probably not the best idea.

If it's like 21 and 25 it would be fine.

I think the older you are the age difference doesn't really matter cause you both are to an age that your both mature and make good decisions.

Age really doesn't matter, of course if you are below whatever the legal age is in your area then of course age is an issue, but for the most part 4 years is like there is no difference at all. My last partner and I had a 21 year age gap, age is nothing, mindset is everything.

My boyfriend purely broke up with me - he's 24 and that i'm 19 and we've been at the same time for a 12 months and a a million/2. I under no circumstances felt that the age difference became a difficulty in any respect - he became continuously so amazing to me, and under no circumstances compelled me into something etc... It relies upon on the character of the guy i think of - if he respects her then it is not a difficulty.

It depends on the people. 16 and 20 is a big difference, 86 and 90 is not. And some people mature faster than others. Mere chronological age should not be the be all and end all of a relationship.

Aristotle, the Greek philosopher once said that the perfect age match is that a woman should be 1/2 the man's age, plus 10 years.

There is nothing wrong with it if you're at least 17/ 18. Me and my boyfriend are 3 years apart. Well, now 4 years because he just made 24 in May and I don't make 21 until November.

Dont look at the age difference, age doesnt matter. Sure some people may not approve of it, but look at it this way.

If you are truely in love with someone and expect to spend the rest of your life with them. You dont think there is anyone else and you want to be with this one and only, then be with them. you have to do whatever makes you happy. my bf is five years older than I am, and we have been together about six years now. I wouldnt trade him for the world.

My parents have an 8 year age gap between them, however they my jmum was 19 wen she got wid my dad who was 27 so they were pretty grown up, if you are still quite young then i would say it is a little bad as if the lover is older than you hwe might want more than wot you think...on an upside if you are older (18+) i would say go for it!!!!
