A lot of people get their "understanding" of Satan from Milton's Paradise Lost and don't even realize that it's not material discussed in the Bible.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

well do you believe in Jesus? He believed in him lets look at some scriptues
so did Jesus dispute him?
(Luke 4:5-8) . . .So he brought him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time; 6 and the Devil said to him: “I will give you all this authority and the glory of them, because it has been delivered to me, and to whomever I wish I give it. 7 You, therefore, if you do an act of worship before me, it will all be yours.” 8 In reply Jesus said to him: “It is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’”
(2 Corinthians 4:4) . . .among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. . .
satan was not cast into hell, he remained with access to the heavens until he was cast down to the earth when Jesus took his thrown 2520 yrs after the kingship was removed from Israel
(Ezekiel 21:27) . . .A ruin, a ruin, a ruin I shall make it. As for this also, it will certainly become no [one’s] until he comes who has the legal right, and I must give [it] to him.’

Basically what I've seen here boils down to:
"Satan exists because the Bible says he does."
and
"Bad things happen in the world, therefore Satan exists."
The gaping holes in their logic seem to be invisible to them.

We see people sinning everyday. Without Satan's temptation they wouldn't be doing so. You want sin without Satan's temptation. Adam and Eve would have never ate the apple without the thought first. Satan is the evil, destructive, selfish thought which we are all born with. hence born into sin. Satan is that dude who convinces you to do something stupid. Once you do it the sin falls on you because you have a choice.. I would get deep with you but I don't have time.

Written evidence, yes. Pick up a paper, turn on the news. Hard evidence that the god of this world (little "g") is hard at work.

I would evidence it from the references in Scripture, the actions of ordinary everyday people, and the existence of demonic activity that has been well documented.
