For the first vehicle, in addition to the car kit that comes with the Sportster 4, you'll need the FMDA25 FM-direct adapter. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_e/103-3526183-2924624?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=fmda25&Go.x=13&Go.y=14&Go=Go

For the second vehicle, you'll need a second FMDA25, together with a SUPV1 car kit. http://www.amazon.com/SIRIUS-Sportster-Starmate-Stratus-satellite/dp/B000HDJ0FQ

This will allow you to just unplug the tuner from the cradle in one vehicle, and plug it into the cradle in the other vehicle. You won't need to move power cables, antennas, or anything else except the actual tuner.

The FMDA25 requires connection to the vehicle's antenna cable. Depending on the make and model of your vehicles, you may need antenna adapters to make these connections. If you e-mail me with your vehicle information, I can tell you whether you'll need additional parts, and give you some installation tips.

I used to sell XM radio, but the concept is the same.

If you want a portable radio then ask about which hand held radios are available. Keep in mind though that XM and Sirius are merging at the end of the year and all stations will be available on any reciever.

To have it in both vehicles you will need a car kit for each vehicle, the reciever will just plug into the kit. It does not need to be professionally installed, but using the FM transmitter will produce some static over the speakers. Basically to install it he needs to run the antenna on top of the trucks, the power cord to the lighter outlet, and mount it using the provided mounts.
