I know I said I'd stay off the religious topics because I was sick of fundamental -yes- fundamental atheists and religious fundalmentalists alike; but I just had to ask this one. I mean come on!!

I'm a Computer Scientist. I HAVE TO think logically! I'm not a fundamentalist but I have morals and I believe in God.
But, every theory has a flaw.

Everytime I hear someone ask about the Big Bang, an Atheist, who is probably some adolescent who thinks being an Atheist is they new cool thing now, says"Oh yeah, the atoms clashed together [...] then the galaxies formed [...]" Explain this, where did the atoms come from? What about the sub-atomic partices, and so on down the chain of particles all the physicists "discovered". Where did those come from? And how do such complicated things like fertilization and birth, where millions of things can go wrong, go right most of the time? I accept evolution to a point--But, there has to be an intelligent designer there. Explain that.

You know what an Atheist is? Someone who is afraid to admit they don't have the answers to everything. That's what an Atheist is. Notice how when I asked this question they got all offended and insulted me. It's because I hurt their egos. It's okay not to be a know-it-all because no one knows everything. There is always something new we're discovering. And yes Atheists have a point, but I think Agnostics are the ones who have the bigger ones.

And why do Atheists only seem to go against one single religion--Christianity? They're always assuming People who ask these kinds of questions are Christian...I am against organized religion whole-heartedly and I don't associate myself with any of them. Atheists are so ignorant to assume.

They like easy explanations as to why people believe in God.
Why a person believes in God is a complex question.

Humm, well firstly you are approaching this 'creation' thing as if it's a magic rubik cube all perfect and wonderful - all worked out and 100% - but have a look : it's a mess - we live on a planet that kills us in winter and burns us in summer - fertilisation and birth... well have you any idea of the number of miscarriages for folks who want babies and the number of unwanted pregnancies for folks that don't - it's a disorganised c**pshoot of the highest order - the truth is a million things did and are are going 'wrong' and what you see is the remains of what we can cobble together from the mess - we've done our best to correct short-sightedness with specs - radiation from the sun with sunscreen etc. And the something from nothing at the bigbang is a cop-out as well, the 'universe' obeys the laws of physics (it get messy when you get to sub-atomic particles I grant you) think of it as bigbang bigsuck bigbang bigsuck for eternity - nothing is created it just gets messed about with pretty randomly.
Even computer scientists believed in the tooth fairy when they were young .. but it's time to grow up.

Why does there have to be a designer there? I'm not being flip here, I honestly do question your premise (a tactic of logical debate no less).

You're right, every theory has to have a flaw...what about your theory/belief about God?

You mention fundamental atheists, but atheists by definition cannot be fundamental. They can be militant, a trait we associate with many fundamental theists, but they can't be fundamental, as there is no unifying doctrine.

Just some points of logic you may want to ponder before your next screed.

Because LOGICALLY there can be NO creator without the creator being created!

The same question you ask of Where did the first atom come from is logically applied to God.

If your creator just magically appeared then why can't the same illogical thought be given to the atom?

Apply your logic to your beliefs as well and you will understand the atheists idea.

Science can figure out what happened during the big bang to one trillion of a second. Where did the energy come from to start it ? No one knows yet, but how is "god started it" a verifiable answer. Does that answer satisfy you? Not me.

Look into the new M theory, it explains what may have started the big bang

Your argument is easily refuted by what created god?

We don't know where exactly the atoms came from. In order for the ig band to have occured they had to have been there. Although the big bang is in fact a theory, it does have evidence supporting it. Evolution is a fact and if you can't accept that please display your evidence to the scientific community so that they can analyze it. No one has been able to successfully refute evolution and all of our advances in biology have been due to evolution being accepted as fact.

You can think logically, and still be unaware of facts that disprove your god. All we ask of any given Christian is that they study the facts, and not run away from them, or simply deny them, when their god is proven not to exist.

Anyone that does this is not only being illogical, they are being dishonest.

And I'm not going to answer all of your questions about the nature of the universe. You need to split them up if you want that. But yes, all of the things you mention clearly demonstrate that there is no need for a god for them to exist.

I am not an atheist, but I certainly see plenty of Christians who can't seem to think logically, and take considerably offense when confronted by someone who can. Their own book says, "By their fruits ye shall know them." Most Christians are treated as illogical individuals because that's what they demonstrate to the world.

As hard as it was to get to, you have a point. Where did the first particle of reality come from? I don't know - which is why I am agnostic. But our lack of understanding re: what started it all hardly explains the Bible. Right?

Stereotypical Atheists are just as biased and closed-minded as stereotypical Christians. This is not to say that they all are closed-minded, because clearly they are not. But I think we can all agree that each group has its fair share of people that refuses to listen to anyone else and does not want to ever admit to the possibility of being wrong.

It's just the way some people are. Yes, it is incredibly frustrating. Yes, you just want to kick them in the face every time they make some remark about how dumb you are for believing what you believe (without backing it up, I might add), but sometimes you just have to live with these people, and just hope that one day they WILL grow up.
