in the days of email and text, cards are a forgotten method of communication which people hold on to for emotional reasons and can mean so much so i try whenever possible to send a card for a special occasion. Esp thank you, thought of you today, hope you are feeling better, etc. Not the best at doing birthday cards - feels too perfunctory.

Someone i knew recently had a child who died and the cards she received have become some of her prized possessions.

I am at the point where I send cards less frequently than ever. Before I was married, I would send my sweetheart a card every day. Now, it is rare that I will do anything other than a valentine and a birthday card.

I have not sent Christmas cards for about 4 years.

I would rather call somebody on the telephone or visit them in person. Yeah, they get me instead of a card. LOL

I love getting wee cards!

My sister is an 'every occasion' card. She even found one for our nephew which said 'good luck on your first day at school' which was lovely!

I constantly ask your self with regard to the mailing expenses when I get carry of those mailings--and that i do get countless from countless agencies in the process the year. while 1000's of hundreds of things (such because of the fact the enjoying cards) are revealed the fee according to merchandise isn't plenty. some printing companies donate the amenities (tax write-off) or print products for the fee of factors if their call is pronounced in some way (return exposure/advertising). Even the personalised handle labels could be achieved fee effectively with print on call for amenities. the assumption is which you're sent some thing unsolicited it is in basic terms too advantageous, tremendously, useful, or necessary to throw it away. because of the fact you do no longer decide to toss it interior the trash, and--realistically we can all use handle labels--you're guilted into sending in a minimum donation. i could desire to sound like a undesirable guy or woman here, yet it extremely is my philosophy. I donate to the charities of my decision. If I get carry of an unsolicited mailing, i don't sense in charge employing the article. in many situations the enterprise has some form of marking on the labels/enjoying cards so as that they are nevertheless getting their message/advertising out while i exploit the product.

I only send them if I know I have to and I go cheap on them. Seriously. It offends me to spend $5 on a card I know will get chucked w/in a few hours. I write a lot of personal notes instead on personalized stationery.
