I LOVE all animals, especially dogs! I would have to say my favorite breeds of dog is the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT). They are one of the BEST breeds to have around children! They are small-medium (normally about 18-22 inches tall and 22-110 pounds -RARE- with 35-60 pounds being average) breed dogs and make wonderful house dogs and family companions! They are one of the most stable people-friendly breeds in existence. The National Canine Temperament Testing Association tested 122 breeds, and APBTs placed the 4th highest with a 95% passing rate! They are wonderful with children! They are way more tolerant than most other popular family breeds such as Golden Retrievers and Beagles and are the PERFECT breed to deal with the rough and tumble play a child can dish out. They are even known as nanny dogs for their love and dependability with children! They are very people-friendly dogs, but they make very good watch/ gaurd dogs. They have an uncanny ability to know when someone or something is a threat or not! The American Pit Bull Terrier is additionally one of the most intelligent and easy to train breed of dogs. The trainer of the show dog Lassie has even remarked on how the Pit Bull is his choice of breed for training. They are unique, smart, easy to train, sweet, loyal, loving, gentle, obedient, devoted, tolerant and funny! They are almost human like in their emotions and expresions! These days alot of people choose to believe all of the crazy myths they have heard about "pit bulls" over the facts! Like any breed of dog, a healthy "pit bull" that is properly raised will remain loving and friendly. In the past 20 years, we have seen some sad examples of poorly bred and badly treated dogs that are by products of irresponsible "backyard breeders" and cruel and abusive homes. These improperly raised, unsocialized creatures can show temperaments far removed from the traditional authentic "pit bulls." Do not confuse these unfortunate misbreds with the HUGE majority of well-loved "pit bulls" in this country that remain solid in temperament, affectionate, trustworthy and friendly to their dying day.
I dont really have a least favorite breed. I prefer medium and large breeds myself, but I dont really dislike small breeds. I really like Pomeranians and Papillons and they are tiny dogs! lol! I guess if I had to pick a breed that I didnt like I would have to say poodles, but I dont really dislike them I just dislike the way they look! lol!
**Purple_Haze... Im not sure where you got that "pit bulls" bark alot, but thats not true. American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers (the three breeds that people like to call "pit bulls") do not bark for no reason. They bark if they have a reason to bark. The ONLY time my APBTs ever bark is if someone comes to the door and as soon as I tell them "enough" they stop. The other "pit bulls" that I know.. Vega, Karma, Lou Dog, Bentley, Coco, Rio.. only bark when someones at the door or if they have a reason to bark and as soon as their owners tell them thats enough, they stop.

I love wolf hybrids, in fact we have 2 of our own. Cherokee Star is a 3 year old male and Lakota Star is a 4 month old female. When she comes of age, we will be doing some breeding and sell the pups..As far as least favorite, I have to say poodles. They are just too pansy-assed and pampered. I like dogs that can hold their own.

I love shetland sheepdogs (shelties)! They are smart, loyal, energetic, and excellent family pets.
I can't say there's a breed I like least. Let's say the dog I like least is the one whose owner has allowed it to become a nuisance or hazard.

Belgian Malinois and Siberian huskies for favorite. GSDs, Rottweilers, Irish wolfhounds, Scottish deerhounds, and Great Danes are also great. Don't care for pretty much any bratty lap dog or smaller terrier (I like Airedales and American pit bull terriers though...if you can call them terriers).
