All the time. But as high as stamps are now? I dont get to do it as much. In fact, I prefer writing a "snail mail" over an email, because it is something tangible that you can hang onto for years and go back when youre older and remember what you (and your pen pal) were doing at a specific time in your life. I like to use pretty inks and stationery. but I'm afraid the postal service is screwing me out of that. It's now 42 cents to mail a letter and when you write as much as I do that can cripple you. So I'm either going to be forced to email or nothing at all if they dont stop raising their rates.

I love writing letters
i write all the time always writing to my family in Australia and to my family in Essex
i think it is nice to take the time to write a real letter
and i love getting letters from my family as well
E mails are cool but getting a hand written letter is much more meaningful

I have an old fashioned aunt who likes to get letters when she gives gifts, and I once wrote a letter to a senator, but other than that, I don't think I have ever written a letter on paper to anyone else.

Very rarely. I usually telephone.
However, on occasion I see a newspaper clipping or something like bridge tournament results that I know my sister is interested in, and I will send it to her by "snail mail" through the US Postal Service.
Oh, yes, I always send regular birthday cards. I don't send e-cards.

No... even though I keep saying I will. It just takes so much longer to compose a letter than it does an e-mail. Hell, truth be told, I hardly e-mail anymore. Text messaging is so much quicker!

Yes, the best thing, if the person is real special, write a letter in caligraphy. If you don't know how, take a class. It is awesome!!!!!

The only people to whom I write physical letters are my parents; they adamantly REFUSE to get a computer... sigh. Otherwise, my correspondence is via e-mail.
