My GF is romantic but a little too much because?

she climbs up giant trees just to get me fruits or little flowers she is graceful but kind of puts me on edge... should i tell her to stop this strange behavior

What about the behavior puts you on edge? Is it that you aren't a fruit and flowery kind of guy, or is it that you are turned off by the fact that she likes to climb giant trees? Or is it that you feel silly standing at the bottom of the tree while you wait for her to climb and pick?

Either way, just explain to her that you appreciate the gesture, but that it makes you a little nervous. Perhaps you can suggest another smaller thing that she can do that would please you that doesn't require her to climb trees.

I definetly think that you should have a talk with her. Climbing up a tree for fruit is a bit extreme. Let her know that you greatly appreciate everything that she does for you, but she doesn't have to do it all the time. Also there are some things you can do for yourself (like if you really wanted fruit that bad you could've climbed the tree or just go to the store). She has definetly gotta lighten up. Talk to her first in a nice tone/ mannner, and if she does these strange things then you have to have a straight forward talk with her. Yes, you like her, and she is important to you, but you can only bare a certain amount of romance and she has got to chill out because all that does is make you freak out. Its alright to have a "harsh" conversation with you girlfriend, if she really thinks about it, and she is willing to do that much to make you happy, then stopping the too much romance thing will be easy for her.

Hey, that's just your GF being herself. She sounds like a free spirit, and it is so great that she will just climb up a tree without caring what anyone thinks of her, just to get you a romantic little surprise. If that is really bothering you, it may just be a way of letting you know that she is fundamentally not the right girl for you. HAHA thats cute, a little strange and funny i must admit. I had a gf who would take 2 hour bus rides and come to my house to drop me off bbq chicken for lunch and then go home just so i wouldn't go hungry. Do what i did and tell her that you're glad she cares so much but its unnecessary and it makes you feel a bit uneasy.

i would just make sure that she has to do these things for you because she feels she has to make up for being "less than you" or not deserving you. Let her know you are as lucky to have her as she is to have you. also, be aware that she might expect you to do romantic things for her too, maybe thats why you feel on edge. Otherwise that is just how she expresses her love to you.

1.embarassing
2.worry about her safety
3. she's a weirdo

I would think you've the right to stop her if you CHOOSE no.2 or else, I don't think you should tell her the other reasons as you'll hurt her feelings.

It's not strange if you ask me. You'll probably get her mad if you ask her to "stop being so strange". Just tell her to tone it down a little. She probably feels that she still needs to get your attention. Assure her that she has your attention.
