Gen 19: 31-32,36. "And the first-born [daughter] said to the younger, 'Our father is old, and there is not a man on earth to come in to us after the manner of all the earth. Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve offspring through our father.'...Thus both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father."

I'll be as blunt as I can be: I am a dad, the father of two grown daughters, and aside from never having harbored lust for my kids, the whole darn idea makes me want to toss my lunch. Now, chaps, Lot is the fellow God said was the holiness human being in the little bitty town he was about to blast to smithereens. If this is the deity's idea of "holy," I'll pass, thank you very much. I love my daughters and I see it as one of my absolute duties to protect them...not get drunk (more holiness?) and sleep with them, which would be rape as well as incest nowadays. Bloody disgusting, that's what it was, that's what it is. And it's in the Bible, prominently. Or, are you Christians telling me now that the Bible was not the word of God?

The Bible simply records what happened in this situation.
No, it was very wrong and not God's will.

If you discern what Moses was saying He's saying if you make a mistake don't dwell on it because the damage has been done. Remember Genesis clearly said Lot was passed out drunk and the daughters were deceiving him. What was Lot to do after he found out what happened. He couldn't kill the girls all he could do was accept what happened and move on. Take this as a lesson if you ever make a mistake or if someone deceives you learn from it and accept the damage that has been done. If the result is children love them just like they were planned. Moses used the worse case scenario so that we can't use excuses about our situations. GENESIS is the meat man. if you have a deep and open mind you can take so many lessons from this book. Ask God for discernment. Everyone in Genesis were very human. They all made mistakes like you and I. So don't Judge them. If you look at them as people you will understand the Bible a whole lot better. Genesis gives you the good the bad because we need both to learn from. Don't be so self righteous.
remember everyone in the bible were humans. Except God, Satan and the Angels. Remember Jesus lived as a mortal for his 33 years on earth. Humans make mistakes even horrible ones. Peace and luv

The bible records many things that are not necessarily the moral thing to do but just tells us what happened. This is one reason why the bible rings true. Even its heroes have human faults.
As far as Lot's daughters go. Part of Gods plan? Maybe so. Is it blessed? Go read the prophecies against Moab and Amon and see if God approved.
Since Amon and Moab will be the ones used in protecting Israel during the tribulation I'd say yes part of the plan.
Who are you to judge God? hmm?

You are referring to the old testament, we do not live in that day anymore, we are now living with Grace, why do you think Jesus came and walked the earth, because he was sick of it to. Read it and find out. Everyone makes these morbid assumptions about God all the time before they get any understanding at all. Impress me and go get into the New Testament and and read about his love, mercy, understanding and wiliness to save anybody. Lets not just talk about your one verse, that wouldn't be fair now would it. Boy for people who don't believe in God or the Bible seems to me we're living in the same situations today as we did back in the old and the new testament, that's why he's coming back again.

Back then incest wasn't a sin. That was the only way for the human race to grow.
EDIT: How about you spend more time studying rather than criticizing?

God only has One plan. Like Adam and Eve, he intends humans to live forever on a beautiful earth and blessed. Just because that plan has been diverted and he needs to prove a point to humans, doesn't mean that he has given up on his plan. Let your Kingdom come!

Not sure what to add to this - considering their mother was just turned into a salt-lick moments before, it was bound to mess with their frame of mind.
Thankfully there's much more people on earth today so we don't have to resort to such measures.

This goes to show that even when people gain favor with God they are still capable of sin. It's a prime example of how fragile our minds, hearts, and bodies are as humans.

People act and the consequences take place according to natural law or we could say the law of God.

You never hear about Lot daughters after that either do you. You hear about Lot.
This was not a part of God's plan;
BUT,
He allowed it to happen.
