Religeons are all subject to interpretation. There is no set way to follow any religeon. Therefore, The ones killing in the name of a religeon are interpreting it in a violent way. Every religeon has it's peaceful and violent followers.

It's not the religeon, it's the people.

Over time confused have mad religion go there way and found people to follow what they believe. So I feel religion is a great thing but some of the people who preach and follow it are corrupting it. So people are killing because they are mislead by what some are teaching. The bible tells us not to judge but 90% of christians still judge. So don't blame the religion blame the confused minded people who mis interpret the teachings.

It is always the person who kills and not the religion.
People use many excuses such as the God told me, the devil told me, I'm crazy or I was drunk.

However, I would like to point that Islam doesn't teach people to kill. A good Muslim is a Muslim that doesn't kill anybody unless it is in self defense.

What people fail to realize that the many young men becoming terrorists are taught what they are doing is self defense against the U.S. They watch video's of innocent women and children dying that had nothing to do with September 11. Just like Americans, they had no idea what the terrorists were planning and yet they are dying.

When these young men see this then it angers them and they have the right to be anger just like we (Americans) were angry about September 11.

There is so much more to Islamic terrorists that people don't know. It is much more than religious reasons on why they are killing. It is mostly due to political reasons.

Some quotes from the Quran:

[Quran 5:87] ... and do not aggress; GOD dislikes the aggressors.

[Quran: 7:199] ......You shall resort to pardon, advocate tolerance, and disregard the ignorant.

[Quran 6:151] "...... You shall not kill - GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. These are His commandments to you, that you may understand."

[Quran17:33] "You shall not kill any person - for GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. ....."

Quran 5:32] "......, we decreed for the Children of Israel that anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life, it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. .............."

Sorry that I strayed off topic, but I saw a comment that screamed ignorance over Islam and I had to do something about it.

It's the people who kill, of course, and most who kill in the name of religion have twisted that religion into something it was never meant to be. (Unless we're talking about Islam, which blatantly teaches its followers to kill all "infidels". You can't be a "good Muslim" and not be all for the killing of anyone who doesn't see eye to eye with you.)

Religion implants ideas in people's heads that make them capable of doing much more terrible things than they would be capable of otherwise. See this quote:

"Many of us saw religion as harmless nonsense. Beliefs might lack all supporting evidence but, we thought, if people needed a crutch for consolation, where's the harm? September 11th changed all that. Revealed faith is not harmless nonsense, it can be lethally dangerous nonsense. Dangerous because it gives people unshakeable confidence in their own righteousness. Dangerous because it gives them false courage to kill themselves, which automatically removes normal barriers to killing others. Dangerous because it teaches enmity to others labelled only by a difference of inherited tradition. And dangerous because we have all bought into a weird respect, which uniquely protects religion from normal criticism. Let's now stop being so damned respectful!" --Richard Dawkins

Both. Religion kills the brain cells involved in rational thought, which leads to activation of the violence centers in the brain.

But seriously, religion was invented as a control mechanism by people looking for a way to avoid violence, but they failed. Not everyone bought it, so they had to resort to force anyway.

Neither religion Kills, nor the people.
Its only hatred that kills. And hatred with some base becomes uncontrolable.
Who on earth would not like to live peacefully?

Maybe it is groups and countries acting selfishly and ignorantly or even with evil intent.

All religions have had groups in them that are doing wrong or have done wrong. But the overwhelming numbers that have led good lives from those religions far outweighs the number that have done wrong.

definitely, the brain-washed/brain-dead believers in religion that kill the name of their religion, that has killed the most people in the history of humanity and they continue to kill the Soul, Heart and Mind with their religious false promises, lies and deceptions.

Here's the simple Solution for religion:

Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save Your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs and start Your journey back home, to Heaven.

<<<<<<< UnConditional Love is the only answer >>>>>>>

Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.

"religion is Spiritual fraud";
"religion is the Worse invention of humanity";
"Universal Truth has eliminated religion from Spirituality",
quotes of Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.

"When a person is freed of religion, they have a better chance to live a normal and wholesome life." S. Freud

Here are some of my quotes:

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!
Freedom of religion is Freedom from religion.

atheists = all the people in religion = all the ignorant fundamentalists = all the cults/superstitions = paganism = wicca = xians = homosexuals/lesbians = skinheads = politicians = lawyers.
