its hard for me to "want" to run when i come back from school. i know i need to...wat keeps u going?
track has been over for like 2 weeks, and i'm preparing for cross country.
i'm obviously a long distance runner.
middle school female.
like yesterday, when i came home, i was like "alright, i'll run at 6."
but when 6:00 came, i was in the middle of hw, and i decided that i'd run at 7. when 7:00 came, i decided that i'd run on the tredmil later. and i just kept post-ponding it, and never ran.
but today, when i think about it, i'm like "y didn't i just run and get it over with?"
but the same thing is prolly gonna happen today.
i konw i could run//train with someone else, or go to a sports club, or gym, but to get to the point, those things r out my option.
so, wat keeps u going?
how r u motivated?

OK so you really gotta want it.If you get bored of just plain out running try listing to music while you run.Get some pumping music that will help get your adrenaline going.I Like you mentioned try going to the gym and lift or something.I'm in high school and have been running track and cc forever so I know how it feels when you have no motivation.Oh and the harder you work the better off you'll be in the long run.Be careful though if you work yourself to hard by the time cc comes around you'll be sick of it already. So try to keep in good shape and when CC gets closer work harder.Good luck!!

i just ran yesterday in a meet. and from now on my motivation will be to be the best and to make it to nationals this summer.
also i had a good season this year for middle school track, and so the hi-school track coaches are expecting a lot from me. frankly, half the hi-schoolers know my name, and they'll come up to me and say, "you have to run the 4. it'll make your 200m time faster" or "your gonna do cross-country rite?". and even sometimes from the coaches. "o i think she's the missing link". not that i don't like to have people rooting for me, its just soooo much pressure. so yea my motivation is fear of disappointing everyone.
i am motivated by my desire to be the best and to get more awards to put on my shelf.
the only other thing that motivated me is that i really really really want a scholarship to college. that is the reason i go to practice and work as hard as i can.
(and as much as i don't wanna admit it, i run for my sister. i know she is looking up to me and i just wanna make her proud.) :)
see what you're compassionate about that could motivate you to do better. ex. maybe someone in your family just passed away. now you really wanna live life to the fullest now b/c its finally hit you that you only have one life to live! good luck on finding what motivates you!

i have a lot of energy and i love running around and playing outside. so it is easy 4 me 2 want 2 run. but if i was tired or just lazy that day i might watch some pros play soccer or run a 100 meter dash then it makes me wonder how they do that then i want 2 go try it. if i cant at 1st i wont give up ill just keep trying until i get it right. other things like me wanting 2 b a pro athlete when im older always helps. i think 2 myself how can i b a pro if im lazy and dont feel like doing anything. sometime just looking outside and thinking wat a nice day it is 2 go running helps 2.
i hope i helped

What keeps me motavated is wanting to be the best. I've never liked being beaten and I'm probably the most competitive person in the world. I'll be coming down that backstretch, crowd cheering my name, world record and gold medal in my hand blowing past all the competition. That's what keeps me motavated. Dream big, shoot for the moon and even if you miss you'll land among the stars.

running alone is very, very hard. in fact, if you can manage to run for a week, alone, i can commend you on it... i'm a freshman, soon to be sophomore runner, and i have difficulties myself. while you run, try and take it easy for a while, since you're going into cross in the fall, i'd say an easy 3-5 miles every day, and then as summer comes by you wanna increase the mileage just a bit to about 4-6, and eventually you can start to add in workouts to get your times higher. i personally run to keep myself as one of the best on my team (we have 3 exceptional freshman runners, me among them) and i can tell you from experience, getting up and getting out is one of the toughest things ever. but as for just getting out there and doing it, i don't believe there is an easy way of doing it. just take it easy on a few runs, and build yourself up as you get more comfortable with running daily.

what I'll drink a lot of water. It fills me up and makes me feel fat. So it makes me want to run. I do two miles a day. I hurt my knees though so luckily I can't run for a few days. I know how you feel though, I really don't want to run after school, but I have to to stay in shape.

My goal is what keeps me motivated. I just finished my bulking so I'm cutting to get my muscles defined. A simple picture of somebody who is already cut makes me want to get out there and do it too.

If I have a competition coming up, what keeps me motivated is fear of failure.
