Purple or Red Streaks would look awesome in it.
However, I'd recommend separating out the parts you'd want to streak, and not dying them black. Because black is a KILLER dye to try and get out, or dye over.
Hair cuts?
All one Length right below your shoulders,
OR at your chin, with a wedge cut in the back.

Actually, after seeing the pic, your current hair cut is pretty killer and would totally support those color streeks :)

you could put in dark brown highlights and then cut your hair to layer it about 3 inches past the shoulder. then you could wear it in ponytails and buns. ( no pigtails if you have black brownish hair!!!) a clip is beautiful too if it has decorations and colors. hope this helped ( hair mascara is nice too preferably red and it doesnt ruin your hair either)

I think dark hair with a tint of purple or red looks good. Not too much but at different angle you can see the color.

straighten it pin straight, get swoop bangs, and get choppy layers. i think that looks best on girls with black hair. you can also had brownish highlights which also look good

do it orange and then blue. and then add some yellow streaks, that'll stand out.
