I work in an allergy office. Usually a food allergy is the problem, you should have food testing done or keep a food diary and try to pinpoint when the symptom appears and then look back at what you have consumed in the last 3 hours. Usually it is pretty soon after eating an offending food that you will have the itching of the palate. the only true cure would be to stop the offending food or beverage for at least 6 months and then try it again. GOOD LUCK

It could be a food allergies or thrush. Try rinsing you mouth with salt water a few times a day and see if that helps. You can also take a benydryl (sp). Have you eaten and melons or berries lately? They can produce an allergic reaction in some people because of mold.

Take an anti histamine for now to stop the itch and get an appointment with your GP as it's probably an allergy....Try and remember what you've eaten the last few days as you can then pinpoint what it is x

Not sure of the mix (see a Dr for details) but mixing Maalox (has to be the brand name) and a liquid benadryl numbs up the mouth really well. Rinse and spit.

I used to have that happen to me. I found out I was allergic to a certain cheese, Lorainne Cheese. I usually had to wait it out. Is there anything you've ate for the past three days consecutively? That might be it and you might have minor allergies.

Pollen allergies do that to me. You could try an over the counter antihistamine or you could get Nasonex or Beconase AQ prescription nasal spray.

It sounds like thrush- i would use a mouth wash for now to ease the discomfort and then i would see a GP- if it is thrush you may need some anti biotics to clear it.
