Don't mistake general, loose advice for some kind of medical prescription. There is no standard amount of anything that everyone always needs to get. Your size, activity level, state of health, and many, many other things are going to change how much stuff you need. Even water.

The only reason they say, 'drink eight glasses of water a day', then, is so when they say, 'drink lots of water' you don't then immediately ask, "How much is lots?". Use whatever size glass you like. Just try to fit in as much as is reasonable and don't drown yourself in the stuff (some very few people have had problems by getting carried away even with drinking water).

Be well!

64 ounces in the recommended amount of water per day, so that would be eight 8 ounce glasses.

some people say drink 8 litres of water evry day, so the answer is to drink a large glass x12 for you is good enough.

Why don't you measure your glass?
If you want to know if you're drinking enough water check your pee. It should be clear throughout the day (except the first one in the morning). If you pee too much, you're drinking too much (or you have another medical condition). If your pee gets too dark, you're not drinking enough water (or you have an infection).
