Are the Bahlsen cookies actual german cookies or are they just cookies that a german company makes? I need to know this for school, I need to bring in a cultural food.

Yes from here, too -- my dad gets them for us over there all the time and then brings them back. This is their site: http://www.bahlsen.de/root_bahlsen_anim/index.php
which is in Germany.

After reading the following, I am going to assume that they are NOT German cookies, but rather a German bakery.

Read Here:
Bahlsen is a family owned company and one of Europe's largest manufacturers of cookies. Imported from Germany, Bahlsen cookies are known for their wide range of unique varieties and for taste and quality usually found only in European bakeries. Best known for sweet biscuits topped with premium chocolate and Hit Sandwich cookies, Bahlsen is a category leader in specialty cookies.
