They cupped each others testicles and went on and on about how the other's love was better than that of a woman while they made googley eyes at each other.

And yet, I have sat in a pew and listened to a preacher read from that section of the Bible with a straight face.

I guess he didn't know what he was reading because of all of the flowery Shakespearean-speak.

Maybe he thought they just really, really liked each other's company. Y'know, for fishing and stuff.

Watchu talkin' 'bout, Guido???

I'm still waiting to meet an actual gay couple named Adam and Steve. They have to be out there somewhere.

Who the heck are David and Jonathan and why are they cupping each other's balls while reciting Shakespeare during church? I don't know about gay, but that's definately a bit blasphemous.

Blitzgamer needs an enema.

David and Jonathan were not homosexual.

1) The word "love" seen in scripture is not the Hebrew word for sexual love. It was a friendship.
2) David’s comparison of his relationship with Jonathan with that of women is probably a reference to his experience with King Saul’s daughter. He was promised one of Saul’s daughters for killing Goliath. But Saul continued to add conditions upon this marriage with the underlying desire to have David killed in battle (1 Samuel 18:17, 25). The love (friendship) David had received from Jonathan was greater than anything he could have received from Saul’s daughter.
3) Nowhere does it say they touched each other's testicles. That's a twisted fabrication on your part.

The Bible never states that David was homosexual. That is a misconception by unbelievers that dont know the first thing about the Bible to begin with.

Yes,their love was GREATER than that of a man and woman relationship..not synonomous with...you are reading too much into the text or possibly not reading deep enough... those that interpret this relationship as such are in error...obviously, you have done your homwork and have discovered that some believe this heresy.

There is at least one other positive depiction of homosexuality in the bible from the book of Mathew when Jesus heals the gay lover of a Roman Centurion but you'll never hear Christians admit it.
