I am trying to use a 1Gb (made by Cable & wireless) Usb memory stick to download data from a computer running windows 98. The computer recognises it as a mass storage device but will not allow it to be accessed. Anybody know where I can get a driver for this type of device

if youve got 98se there shouldn't be a problem it should work straight away. most likely the stick is faulty.
if youve only got 98, probably best to give up, the sticks not really made for that os.

USB sticks are today's world. Windows 98 is old world. Update to XP and no problems or go onto Cable & Wireless' website and search for their drivers to download.

Upgrade to Win. ME. It handles these USB peripherals much better.
