Ok you believe what you believe? Now why would you think you had the right to tell someone that their religion was stupid? A belief is something you should respect if you can't take other people expressing their belief then why express yours? Why act like a bunch of Kindergardeners saying mine is better no mine is! Why can't you answer questions respectfully or ask then respectfully? I don't care what religion you are weren't you taught respect as a child? I see all this stuff on here that is just so disrespectful and it's really rather disturbing that not many adults actually get on here.

Wasn't saying there was any problem with arguing just meant shouldn't you do it respectfully?

As an adult, perhaps 'we' adults have not taught respect to our kids currently!
Perhaps when we teach kids the scriptures tell them to honour father & mother; the standard set by father & mother are so low that they do obey them. Granted the father & mother make not like the result; but it is the guideline they set. Example; the 'parent' calling someone an @@@, but the child calling their parent an @@@ or old man or old lady. (Perhaps, they have even 'upped' the parent, and the parent whines about them).

I agree.
But it gets a bit old that any attempt at civil conversation has to be filled with Bible verses. I understand that Christian's come from their perspective and I respect that. I don't respect how many of the Christians on here can't respond to any question without being "right."
The Christians on here wonder why they get such a backlash when they ask questions or respond to questions. If they would look at how they word their responses, they would see that they take this angle that they are always right and anyone who doesn't agree must be going to hell and be wrong.
I have read way more questions and responses than I have answered, and I have to say that the Christians on this board (and on MOST boards) are the one's causing the majority of the problems because they are very disrecpectful to anyone who disagrees with them.

If someone tells me that 1+1 really equals 5 and the universe was built 12 years ago by a purple flying cow, why should I respect that? If it is truly stupid, an honest person doesn't say "oh how clever you are to believe the earth was built by a flying cow". Maybe you do but I have too much honesty to lie.
I think it is better just to be honest with people. Maybe if more people were honest there would be less trouble in the world.

I try to respect all beliefs and religions but most are just so ridiculous. If an adult told you they believed a magical unicorn was going to fly down from the sky and bring them presents wouldn't you wonder how someone could be so stupid to believe that? That's how I view religion.

I agree. No one should call another person's religious beleifs stupid. There is a respectable way to answer or debate a question.
What are they saying for their own religion when they treat others poorly??

I won't call another's beliefs stupid. I will however speak against unjust teachings and will confront people on the views of their religion/belief system that are simply not just.

No has the right to say that they are better or their believe is better and i also find that very stupid and irresponsible. However one has to think deeper than words, race, and believe to be respectful to another person and also to understand. What I'm trying to say is people have their reasons for their actions and it's deeper than their words, just be a bigger person to try and understand.

Your problem is the group of people your addressing contains different mentalities. Not all are rational. Their exists a childish area where people think pranks are ok. There are actually demons guiding typing of some who are unaware.
And there are those of us who are very sincere and actually looking for Jesus sheep.
