Freud suggests that dreams uncover our unconscious wishes and desires which have been repressed.

Biological research suggests its random neurone firings are being made sense of by using memories as external stimuli (i.e anything visual, audio) isn't available (coz we're asleep). Also, research suggests it's the brain sorting out the days happenings and just getting rid of dead wood so as not to overload the brain with useless details...

In Islam there are 3 kinds of dreams, one from God, one from you, and one from the devil. But dreaming can reflect our daily lives.... i don't know about reality... sometimes i try and run away from it, once in a while.

Dreams show what you are thinking or fearing in real life but are to concerned or busy with other things to notice. They refl;ev how you feel.
