My boyfriend and I we live in VA and he wants to beable to stock fish as his job. Does anyone know what it takes to beable to do this?

A commercial drivers license and a decent driving record are a must. A knowledge of area roads and waterways would be a bonus.

First find out who stocks the fish for the county lakes, reservoirs and dams. Then go to the county web page and find out what the requirements are for a fisheries biologist. I am sure they probably hire laborers as well and this would be a good place to start and get to know people in the industry while he gets a degree.

get a degree in fish science or water management. Check with your state fish and wildlife division to see what prerequisites they are looking for in applicants for such a job.
