Isn’t it true that every design has a designer?

Every piece of art has an artist? Every building has a builder?

No, it is not true. This is exceedingly well established scientifically.

Natural selection is perfectly capable of leading to complexity, both in the real world, in computer models, and in selection based design algorithms.

In fact, the eveyr design needs a designer argument is actually the most effective way to disprove the existence of god. It works like this. If something that is (or appears to be) designed needs a designer, then the designer is clearly more complex than that which has been designed and de facto must itself be designed. Hence by the same argument the designer must itself need a designer. And so on.

If you claim the designer does not need a designer, then it logically follows that nor does the desgned.

That is tautology. From the definition of a creation it has been created.

Can you get your brain around the concept that the universe was not created, but just is?

Someone recently was comparing a pile of rocks to a building. If the building has to be created, then does that imply that the pile of rocks was not? The pile of rocks 'just is' there. The same as the universe. There is no need for an intelligence to have designed it, just as there is no need for an intelligence to have positioned those rocks in that exact spot.

If anything complex is a 'design' then god too is a 'design' where is his designer?

To simple of a view. I think you are comparing apples to oranges.

If you draw a picture and I cut it down and put it in a frame didn't we both create the total picture. Are we both the creators of the total image? Then everyone who looks at it, views it with their own eyes so no one views the exact same thing. And if someone comes along and puts a lighter to it for a minute or two is it still a work of Art?

You are asking the wrong question, looking for someone to validate what you already believe.

Yes. Every creation has a creator, every building a builder, every art an artist.

If you could prove the visible universe, let alone the Universe, was created, you'd prove the existence of a deity.

So... let's see your proof. Just a caution -- avoid argument from incredulity errors ... "This is so complex I just can't believe it happened on its own! Look around you!"

Pretty impossible to have the complexities of the universe without design and a designed to design it.

that is just if you think with a feeble human mind in only the 3rd dimension- .......that whole artist and builder stuff is because we always like to place blame or causality on something.

Read "The Blind Watchmaker" by Richard Dawkins if you're serious about looking for an answer to this question.

Sure thing. That's 100% true. That's why I don't refer to the entirety of the universe as a "Creation."

that's true, unless it has always existed, as is the case with God. then it has neither creator nor is it a creation.
