You can have it all, but if you don't have love, then you have nothing. Go girl. Be blessed.

Listen how would you know if a person is born gay or straight? You don't so there for you can't assume that people are born straight.
The Bible may say that it is a sin for a person be gay, lesbian, or bisexual...but it also says that if asked for forgiveness it shall be given. So in all honesty you're not going to hell just because you chose to be the way you are.
It is obvious that Gos did not create Adam and Steve...he created Adam and Eve.
Every person has a choice to decide their own sexual preference whether you, myself, or anyone agrees or diagrees with it.

Back in 1972, yes 72! I was in my very first relationship with a wonderful man or so I thought. However I was still reeling from being gay and Catholic. It led to some emotional problems that put me in hospital for several weeks. When I got out I was still confused and unsure if I could accept myself as being gay. His idea of helping me was putting pressure on me on a daily basis. His idea of therapy was if I didn't get into the relationship there might be an accident and someone may find me on the ground below the balcony. I believed it was my fault and didn't know where to turn. Eventually I got out of the apartment and went deep into the closet for decades. I hadn't given it much thought until reading this question. If that was why I went into complete denial and got married. My thinking at the time was that if this was a gay relationship then I wanted no part of it. When I was able to face the fact I was gay I left the marriage. After all to be honest I was making life miserable for more than myself. I still had to work on myself some more. Today I am happy to be with my new partner of almost two years and still maintain a strong platonic friendship with my ex-wife.

1. The Bible does not say that people who commit the sin of sex with someone of the same sex are going to hell. It's simply not in there.
2. Yes, same sex interaction is a sin according to both the Old and New Testaments. However, it is not a special kind of sin. It's a sin, and everyone sins. The key when it comes to Christianity is not refraining from sin (because nobody can do that) but redemption FROM sin. Ecclesiastes 7: 20 There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.
3. One of the greatest sins ever is the sin of pride, and taking the place of God as the one who judges people's entitlement to redemption. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHOSE NAMES ARE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE.
4. Matthew 7:1 Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
5. John 8:7 "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
The truth is, my friend, that many people commit many sins - stealing, lusting, sex outside of wedlock, failing to keep the Sabbath day holy, not honoring one's father and mother, envying and coveting -- and yes, sex with others of the same sex or groups of people -- but those last offenders are no less entitled to redemption than YOU. YOU are a sinner, my dear. And, it is not your place to cast stones. It is not your place to judge their worth to God.

Please preserve us from the fools who do everything because "the Bible says so".
The Bible also tells you not to wear clothing of mixed materials, eat shellfish and forbids men to cut their beards. It says slavery is acceptable and in many respects endorses the treatment of women as second class citizens. It states that a child is not alive until it draws its first breath which means that abortion is not murder even if performed the day before the child is due to be born.
The Bible was written thousands of years ago when morals and attitudes were very different than they are today. If you want to turn the clock back a couple of thousand years then you have to do it with everything... public stonings, women exiled from their homes during their monthly cycle and all the other idiotic rules. You can't just pick out one rule that your own bigotted mind agrees with and ignore the rest.
As for being born gay, a genetic mutation has been found in a large proportion of gay men which may in fact mean that they WERE born gay.
With regards Adam and Eve - if you truly believe that Adam and Eve were the first and only humans on Earth then it is obvious that in order to populate the world their children must have committed incest - are you saying that incest is OK? You seem to have a very strange set of morals if you endorse incest by believing in Adam and Eve but condemn homosexual sex conducted as part of a loving relationship.
If you follow the Bible to the letter then why are you judging others? You can't even keep to your own stupid rules

Looks like the Sodomites are out in full force today.
While not the "greatest sin" it surly is sin.
And all you folks that believe it is an inborn trait, well sorry to bust that bubble but it just isn’t so. The great god of Science has failed to provide the existence of that which is why "empirical data" and such is never brought into these conversations.
And for those of you who threw out the "judge not least ye be judged" bit of Scripture I say to you:
1) It means don't condemn a person for doing something you do. Since I am not homosexual I have all authority to judge it by the Word of God.
2) Why are you quoting scripture to me when you profess not to believe in it? Let alone understand it.
You people would be funny if it were not so sad to see lives being wasted.

(WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY THAT IS GAY, LESBIAN, and BI accepted)
So, society can accept the intimate love one person may feel for another of the same sex ,but God can't? You underestimate God.
Would you use an encyclopedia from 30 years ago and blindly trust that the info was correct?
Or how about using the same home remedies for sicknesses and injuries that were used in the 18th century?
Then why use a book written thousands of years ago to govern your life and raise your children?
It seems so backwards to me. Then again nothing breeds hate like christian love.

Why do you care if the couple across the street is Steve and Betty or Steve and Barry? If you're against same sex relationships and marriage, then don't get into a relationship with someone of the same sex. It is that easy! You have no right to push your backward morals and ideologies onto others with nothing more than a 2000 year old book as 'proof' you are right.

Yes, the Bible DOES say that homosexuality is a sin.
However, it also says we should love our neighbors as ourselves, and that we should love everyone, and that includes gays, lesbians and bisexuals.
Therefore, we should not hate people because they are gay.
And okay, they might go to hell, but Jesus loved the sinners, and so should we.
And who are you to say who's born a certain way? We're all born with certain propensities: some of us are born loving to do certain things, some of us are born good at things, with certain hair or eye colors, etc. Who says there's not a "gay gene" or something?
And I am a Christian, and straight.
I also believe that gay marriage should be allowed; just because Christians believe that homosexuality is a sin doesn't mean we should ban it; it's separation of church and state.
thankyou. =) I just needed to rant, I'm better now.

With all due respect, Marie, you do not even know the truth about Adam and Eve, so you can hardly be expected to know the truth about same sex relationships ... and how arrogant of you to assume you do.
The story of Adam and Eve is an allegory.
Adam & Eve = Singular
Adam = Soul
Eve = Universal Mind Power
Cain = Higher Mind
Abel = Lower Mind

I am personally heterosexual. I'm a guy that likes to have sexual relations with women. Sex with men does not interest me in the least.
The Bible says that Lot had sex with his daughters. Is incest OK? I don't think so. The Bible says that Adam and Eve's sons had to have sex with their sisters. All of Noah's grandchildren must have had sex with, at least, their first cousins, that the Godly man King David had many wives and consorts that he had sex with.
If I lived by what the bible says I should have 5 or 6 wives and have at least one of them my sister and another my cousin.
Do you get how silly your argument is.
Stop relying on an old book and live in the real world.
