I met my ex gf for a drink last night.

Things ended 4 mths ago, her choice. For 2 mths I tried to get her back but she was sure us being apart was right.

She didn't seem ultra interested in meeting me. I told her I had moved on, was dating other women, and happy to be friends. As soon as I did that she unexpectedly rang me up, the first time in months.

I thought that was either because she was jealous/curious I had moved on or because she felt we could be friends because I was dating other people.

We met for a drink. We chatted. There is definitely something still there.

I would like to see if there is a chance for us but want to be cool. I do miss her but am not 100% us being together is right but I think we should find out.

How long should I wait before I call her??

I want to give her space & not be pushy but not wait too long. I am thinking a week??

I think the young lady called you out of jealosy/curiosity.
If you are really dating others and having a good time doing so, then you wouldn't be thinking about getting back together with her. I think you answered your own question when you said that you don't feel 100% certain that you should try things again.
IMHO, move on. It's never a good think to go backwards - no matter how much you like the person. Every breakup happens for a reason.

How about a quick text asap to say you had fun, would like to see her again some time. Not moving on too soon to getting back together proper.

Just a thought - Maybe if you did end up as 'just' really good friends, that might be better for you both anyway!??

good luck :-)

What I would do would be to send her an email and tell her you had a great time, etc. Then tell her to give you a call if she wants to get together for another drink in the future. Sometimes the less you pursue the more you are pursued!

dont call her at all mate. let her do the running. if you do it she'll back off again and leave you feeling like a right numpty. let her have a little think about why your not ringing her. it'll do her head in trust me.
