If atheists were not afraid of God, they would not try so hard to debunk Him. But they don't seem to do anything, except hate the Christian faith and use childish insults against Christians. I have not as yet seen an argument of any substance from an atheist. If they are the great thinkers they think they are, lets see some meat in their comments!!!

We aren't afraid of God.

We're afraid of unhinged people who believe in magical sky creatures, and want that creature to make our laws for us.

Those kinds of people ARE real.

Here is a simple and sound argument for you.

The very essence of reason is that any premise must be valid for any argument that is drawn from it to be sound.

All religions, and all religious argument stems from this statement, "There is a God.". This has in no way been shown to be a true or valid statement.

The burden of proof lies with those that make the presumption. I have never seen the statement, "There is a God.", supported. Hence I am an unbeliever.

I hope this qualifies as something more than a childish insult. It certainly does not come from someone that believes he is a "great thinker".

Atheists are not afraid of God. Atheists do not believe there is a God so why should they be afraid of something they do not believe exists? I don't think atheists try to debunk God. I believe you are thinking of those answers given to strident questions from Christians to atheists (like this one) that respond in kind. If you want to read childish insults, put Jew or Muslim into the search engine. Please do not act as though Christians are always right and good and everyone else is not. You defeat your own purpose with your question.

We're not afraid of your god or any other god.
You say you're yet to see an argument of any substance from an atheist, so how about this one: There is extremely strong evidence that the earth is hundreds of thousands of times older than the bible suggests.

Yawn.

Atheists are not afraid of your little imaginary Friend. They're just tired of the atrocities that are perpetually being committed in the name of your imaginary Friend. And the reason you've never heard an "argument of substance" from an atheist is because you're incapable of comprehending anything of substance. I suppose a blind man would have trouble appreciating the Mona Lisa.

If you have not seen an argument of any substance... you have not looked or tried to understand the alternate perspective.

Read "A letter to a Christian Nation" or "the end of faith" by Sam Harris if you want to read well orchestrated and researched arguments. You won't find a lot of "substance" here.

Atheists, I assure you, are not afraid of your fictitious deity.

Atheists aren't scared of God. They're scared of people not only doing terrible things in the name of religion, but having the support and the consent from the religious. Just look at all of the atrocities throughout human history caused by religious institutions.

puh-lease.

There is evidence all around you of evolution, yet so many christians utterly deny it in favour of the magic sky pixie.

Everything we have to say usually falls on deaf ears. What I'd like to know is why are so many christians terrified of actually listening, reading, and learning something?? Are you that insecure in your faith?

And for the record, I don't fear something that doesn't exist. I don't care if you believe in god or unicorns. What I DO fear is christianity changing society according to its doctrine. I fear christian influence in law and politics. I want christianity OUT in this regard and will do what it takes to help ensure this.

Have a lovely day.

Your "if" is wrong. We try hard to debunk God because we are afraid of YOU, acting crazy like you do, and infringing on the rights of others. In the history of God fearing Christians, what human rights have NOT been violated in God's name?

Oh you mean like the childish insult.."Where is your invisible sky pixie when children are abducted abused and killed?" Does that sound childish to you? Or is it something an intelligent person asks when told they need to believe in an all powerful, all knowing, and loving god that is supposedly sitting back and watching all this just wanting people to praise and love him when he gives us no reason to. Frankly it makes more sense to realize that there is no god than to be angry because of his actions or lack of them. Savvy?

it fairly is a daft theory. we do no longer have confidence in gods via fact there's no data that any gods exist. it is it. it is not concern or "willful disobedience" or any of the different strawman arguments you Christians shop attempting to ascribe to us. EDIT- Like Tay, right here. he's claiming we take a place that we in fact do no longer. You adult males venture those reasons onto us via fact they make you sense extra proper in some way, yet they do no longer mirror fact.
