If the car you are purchasing is still under factory for at least one more month, you have hundreds of choices. Although you can purchase a warranty over the Internet, I would rather go to dealer a buy one. You can be armed with your Internet price which may help you negotiate.

Usually you need a dealer to take you to the auction. Doesn't he offer warranties?

No, and buying a car from an auto auction is a high risk purchase. You don't get to drive the car, only start it. There is so much information lost by not taking a test drive, it's a waste of money. If you want any kind of warranty on a used car, it's going to be best if you deal with a Honda Certified car, or Toyota. Both carry warranties, but don't be so dependent on that warranty. Make sure the car you purchase is in good running order, don't take it thinking you'll just use the warranty to fix the issue, it doesn't work that way.

if you buy a car on ebay or any other kind of auction, if the car comes without any warranty, you can purchase a warranty directly from a warranty company
go to http://www.extendautowarranty.info/ and get some quick quotes to evaluate if it's worth
if you think the car might have mechanic problems you might consider getting a warranty for just one year or less, until you'll be sure that the car is ok

The easiest way would be to buy it from a dealer. They may often offer a warranty on the used cars they sell. But it's probably expensive for what you get. You're probably better off to have the car checked by a mechanic you know and trust. If you don't know a mechanic in your area, try the link below

You could, but you shouldn't. I got my last car that way and needless to say i ended up spending more than I bargained for.
go to the dealer, at least you can get a warranty and have someone tp blame but yourself.
