Muhammad may be the most important prophet in Islam but he is not the final and foremost last prophet of the world. Jesus on the other hand is the last and final prophet. There would be no prophets after him because He is the new covenant and when He had died on the cross for our sins the cloth that separated the high priest and the people was torn. The cloth was used to separate the high priests and only they were allowed into the holy presence of God. Since that was torn Jesus is the "go-between" and He is the "cloth". Therefore we are no longer separated from out Lord God.

Muslims believe in the PROPHET Jesus, and believed that he performed numerous miracles, but they do not believe that he is the son of God. This is a sin, in their religion because it is considered blasphemy to associate anything with God.

Now, Muhammad is indeed the most important prophet in Islam, but for different reasons. He is considered to be one of the most pious and trustworthy person in the religion, and also has the highest rank. God had revealed his last and final book to him, the Quran, which is Islam's holy book (like the Bible for Christians, or the Torah for Jewish). Muslims also believe in these holy books, but they believe they have been altered throughout the course of time.

Hope this might have helped!

First off we are all the children of God, no one religion can lay claim to that one! Muhammad became a prophet for Islam ,when he was out in his field doing farm work , the angel Gabrial came to him in a vision, and said start a new religion for your people in order to stop the christian persecution of your people! The angel told Muhammad the people of the prophet Jesus had gotten out of hand and needed to be stopped! Muhammad did as he was told, and there you have it a new religion was created! Both Jesus and Mohammad were prophets of the word of God, and both existed. Both hate each other, and so it came to pass endless fighting right up to this very day, all in the name of God!

The Qur'an is still intact, whereas the miracles of the past Prophets are no longer evident. The last remaining miracle of a Prophet also shows us that Muhammad is the seal of the prophets. If the Qur'an didn't exist as it did then, Muhammad couldn't be the seal of the prophets because a new revelation would need to be sent. Allah (SWT) knows best. We don't believe Jesus/Isa is a god. He's the word of Allah (SWT) and the son of Maryam. Alhamdullah.

First, you must understand that Muhammad and Jesus are figures in two different religions. Jesus, to Christians, is the center of Christianity and the basis of faith. In addition, Jesus is seen as the God.
Muhammad, to Muslims, is the founder of Islam and is the first one who received the revelations that he wrote in the Koran. Mohammad is revered as the highest 'prophet' because he brought the religion into the world.

Because Muslims do not believe that Jesus is the son of god. How can you believe so much about Mohammed and still believe Jesus is the son of god?

If you are so convinced that Jesus is the focal point of your religion and belief structure, why follow the Christian Church? Christianity and the New Testament are gross misinterpretations and at times outright lies about the gospel and teachings of Jesus of Naz. The true teachings of Jesus are buried under thousands of years of historical re-writing on the part of the church.

Muslims don't believe Jesus (PBUH) is son of God, God has NO children, God is not like the rest of creation.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was sent to convey to people the religion of Islam. Jesus Christ (PBUH) was also a prophet of God. Prophet Isa/Jesus was a messenger of Allah revealed to convey to the people the religion of Islam and to call them to worship Allah, their Creator. Muslims believe in his prophethood and in his truthfulness in conveying that message. He is a very important part of Islam, but we DON'T worship him or anyone else except GOD ALONE.

Both Jesus and Muhammad (Peace and blessings upon them) were such prophets who were given holy books by Allah. The Quran says about Jesus :
"He said : I am indeed a servant of Allah. He has given me the book and made me the prophet." (19:30)

(Jesus the Messiah)(PBUH) said:"And verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him Alone. That is the Straight Path"

5.72. They do BLASPHEME who say: "(God) is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.5.73. They do blaspheme who say: God is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except ONE Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.

The same reason that Jesus is considered important to Christians. Different religions have different beliefs. Has no one ever really told you that?
