I would cut the time in half. So, about 3-4 hours. Or if the high setting is really high go for as little as two hours.

As others have already pronounced, maximum recipes will artwork nicely in case you chop up the version in time between the two settings. start up out on severe, cook dinner for an hour or so, after which swap to the Low putting. the only recipes that i could cook dinner longer on severe could be persons that incorporate thick products of meat or uncooked vegetables which contain carrots or potatoes. it incredibly is complicated adequate to get components like those to cook dinner thoroughly besides, and cooking them on Low will improve the time much extra. 5-element sluggish Cooker Recipes ( via extra effectual homes & Gardens) is yet another fantastic cookbook, incredibly once you're basically getting began with Crock Pot cooking. each thing i've got tried has been scrumptious, and the recipes are hardship-free.

when it call for LOW, it should be on LOW. if your in a bind, it is about 1/2 the time on HIGH. The whole point of a crock-pot is to slow cook, they aren't meant to be speed up. And if you weren't on the PC maybe time wouldn't have gotten away from you. :)
