I was putting my little boy into the carseat yesterday (he's 2) and he held up his hands at me and said...my hands are tired. with a sad little look on his face. i am thinking he has heard me and my husband talking about being tired after work or something....well later that night he goes to my husband and tells him the same thing and puts his hands up to him for him to look at them. isn't that strange? have your kids ever done that? i am watching him to see if he does it again so i can take him to the dr if it seems like they start to bother him. thanks for your input!

My daughter say her back hurts. Also when I ask her how her day was she answers "Long." They are such little mimics.

My daughter (2) also talks to the cats, pictures on the wall and her pacifiers.

I would not worry about it. Two year olds are very creative and make up crazy stuff all the time.

If you had a strange reaction to his comment he will probably say it again and again. I would pay more attention to whether he is favoring them or not. If he is using his hands regularly, I would skip the doctor.

my 32 months old son watched a cartoon a few months ago where there was an old maid saying: " oh my feet hurt, my back hurts" and so on . he still does the same thing as a joke. try to remember if either of you has ever said that while performing that movement. if not, and there are are no other signes of hurting himself perhaps you should consult your doctor.

I'm thinking her heard you or hubby say about being tired. He is at the age where they pick up everything. Just keep your eye on him just incase. Another thing I just now thought of... Maybe his hand fell asleep?

Maybe hes feeling a tingling sensation? Like your foot falling asleep. That's what my 5 year old always says when his feet fall asleep...they are "tired". Good luck.

I wouldn't worry yet. Wait a week and if it happens say 2 or3 more times call his Dr.
