It is the worst thing imaginable. I won't even call it a sport, because they aren't doing anythin physical. I don't get it, all racing events should be quick and painless. I would rather watch a marathon on the olympics or every stage of the tour de france. I hate when the waste time on sports shows like Sportscenter for that crap, but companies are smart they advertise were the idiots wasting money are.

Everyone has something they enjoy that other people just don't understand. I am quite sure there is something you love that some people in the NASCAR Forum would be like "What the *&^%"
I love to watch racing, I love cars, I love things that go fast. I enjoy hearing the stories behind the Drivers and their Crews. I like the automotive repair tips I occasionally get from watching.
What bothers me is people who don't understand what other people love so the degrade it and get rude about it. How would you like it if we asked you "HOW in the hell can you (insert your activity here)."
The People of the NASCAR Nation have no problem talking about NASCAR and their love for it with People who are polite and respectful. You got alot of rude response from people because your question was rude.
NASCAR Fans are not uneducated, inbred, hillbillies like you think. Todays Fans are Doctors, Lawyers, CEO's, Nurses, Teachers, People from all walks of life. So next time you want to ask the NASCAR Nation a question, you might want to show a bit more respect; because we are not the pack of Morons you think we are.

You're just looking at the sport from the wrong perspective.
Like suppose you watch tennis, I could say that tennis is just watching two guys hit a ball back and forth, and obviously tennis isn't just that.
Same thing for NASCAR, while they do run circles, there is plenty of exhilerating action, crashes, cars running 3-wide, last lap passes.
I could say "Get a life" to fans of any sport, tennis, baseball, whatever, because watching any sport takes up time, so if you say that NASCAR fans have no life, then all sports fans have no life. And I'm sure you wouldn't say that.

You know what chad, you obviously have no idea what nascar is really about, otherwise you would know that there is alot more to it than just running in circles. It takes a lot for a driver to win... from the people who spend thousands of hours to the people who spend most of their time practicing to get as fast as they can at servicing a car. There are many variables that can ruin a race for a driver, and its knowing those variables and all of those possible threats that makes it enjoyable. So f*ck of hater... and stop trying to stir us up.

I can tell you never actually watched a race before. It's not just cars going in circles, it's the number of laps and who has the best car after that amount of laps. It's watching the pit stops and how the team's strategy works great for one track and bombs on another. It's watching 43 drivers try to get to the front without wrecking the whole field. The drivers are athletes, they sit in a car on a hot track without air conditioning and can loose up to 10 pounds from just one hot race. They use their minds more than most sports do. I love watching the races on TV, I love getting to know the drivers, the crews and the owners. So many of these people do more for our country that you will ever give them credit for doing. They are a family of itself that should be shown as great role models rather than your basketball or football stars.

Honestly, I thought the same thing, but then I got dragged to a NASCAR race and it was pretty cool. There's always something going on, cars are spread all around the track, someone's bumping another guy, one random dude is going into the pits and you gotta wonder why, another guy's trying at every turn to pass and catch up. On TV you're only getting a little part of the action, but in person, it really is fairly interesting.

You know, for people to not like Nascar, there sure are a lot of posting about Nascar from people like you. Sounds like you've watched it a few times yourself to know they go in circles. Whatever!!!!

If you dont like it dont watch it. Others happen to like it and that makes it relatively easy to watch. Tolerance for all thiings sports might be a suggestion. If you dont like it, why are you in a nascar forum? Maybe you should try the grouch area

The same way a golf fan can sit and watch people hit little balls and try to get them into a hole, while everyone is dead silent. (IMO, BOOOOORRRRRIIIIINNNNNGGGGG!!!) NASCAR fans find it awesome. If you don't, then go away and find something constructive to do, and don't knock us for something we like. I'll now take your words and turn them back on you. Get a life...
