Yes, if they were the best qualified candidate. And I'm a Christian, too. What are a person's political policies and what are my personal religious beliefs are only related in the sense that a religious person is more likely to have similar political ideals than me, but the fact is that I know atheists that have better political views than a lot of people in office right now that claim to be Christians. So it is possible for a non-Christian to run for President, share similar political ideals to me, and I might vote for them.

It already makes me not want to vote for them because they're all Christians.. but if I thought they would do a good job then I guess i would vote a Christian in office.

but I think we need a more of an atheist in office who doesn't have a bias and actually believes the archeological evidence of evolution.

I'm assuming all the candidates that believe in creation also believe the world is flat!

I'm Canadian, so I would be voting for a Prime Minister. Yes though I would vote for a non-Christian, if they are the right person for the job.
If they have the same "agenda" and I agree with their platform, then they would get my vote, regardless of their religion, or non-religion.

Would God there would be one honest enough to do so. Christian or not they will all say they are because that is where the votes are. And votes ALWAYS out weigh honesty.

We don't often have the choice to vote for a Christian. Words and claims are nothing. I would prefer to vote Christian, but I often have to choose from the other options.

Of course I will. I'm tired to see christian people voting in "christian" politicians.
There are many non-christian people that are highly skilled, and morally harder than the most of the "christians".

Absolutely, there is no logical reason that one person would make a better pres. than another based on his religion. The presidency is a political position, not a religious one

Absolutely, they would be demonstrating an honesty rare in politics.
The current President is as far from a Christian as it gets, he just says he is.

I'm not so much worried about the candidate's religion as his views on the state of our great nation (which is a huge mess at the moment, thanks to good old christian leadership). Give me someone who will clean it up and I don't care what faith he follows.
