I find it amusing how many of you are not answsering the question as to whether or not you CHOSE your sexual orientation.

For all of the (less than honest) replies who say they CHOSE their heterosexuality ... does this mean you actually have homosexual tendencies, but you fight against them and choose to be heterosexual? Probably not, so I won't hold you to that answer ... I realize you were trying to evade.

Alright, I will answer this as seriously as I can: I am naturally attracted to the opposite sex (women)- I am naturally repulsed by sexual affectations between men. I have a very difficult time understanding gay men (I think women are great and understand why they might be attracted to each other..lol- of course, I am not excusing any deviant behavior- I believe it can be spiritually degrading. I believe homosexuals reject their natural affection for the opposite sex- sometimes consciously but possibly more often unconsciously. Why they would do that is beyond me. I do believe that there are a lot more women haters among men than there are men haters among women. Most misogynists choose to be with women and then degrade them but some probably just go gay. Heck, I don't know.

I was naturally attracted to the opposite sex

I was naturally attracted to the opposite sex. I'm pretty sure it's the same way for homosexuals and bi-sexuals. There's no "choice" about it.

ADDED: To those above who say it's a choice - no it's not. You either find yourself attracted to someone sexually, or not. It's not a conscious decision. Even if I wanted to - I could not look at another woman and become sexually aroused. It doesn't work that way. And I've had offers to experiment with members of the same sex. There just wasn't that sexual attraction there.

No one has ever really been attractive to me. I believe you can't choose who you fall in love with though. Once I fell in love with my husband, I became attracted to him. I'm a bit different.

You do realize that there are heterosexuals that support homosexuality, right? Have you ever heard of PFLAG?

I like girls, there was no choice involved. My good friend came out of the closet recently, and he told me (much to my surprise) that he's always been attracted to guys, as far back as he can remember, and if he had a choice, it would be to be straight. But he's not, and that's just the way God made him, according to him.

How can something natural as that be a sin?

Just because you are the way you are, doesn't mean its bad for someone else to be the way they are. Everyone deserves to be happy and recieve God's love, no matter what. I say live and let live.

I did not choose my heterosexuality. I was naturally attracted to the opposite sex.

One hot momma - Then it is safe to assume that you would have no problem making it with another woman; that it wouldn't bother you in the least; that the thought turns you on - but that you simply "choose NOT to be homosexual".

Did you just flip a coin or something?
Do you live your entire life guided by coin tosses?
