grew up on long island (lawn guyland), but lived in brooklyn for many years!!! go brooklyn!! i love the diversity, coexisting with the strong ethnicity of many of the neighborhoods. you can stay in familiar territory, or venture out, all for a the cost of a token!
the brooklyn museum is amazing! prospect park is wonderful and what can i say....CONEY ISLAND and astroland!!!!

I live in Montana now, but I miss Brooklyn intensely. The sense of community you mentioned, the vibrant cultural communities, and the gritty history are all so wonderful. I knew people from all over the world in Brooklyn, and I knew people who had lived their whole lies in a one square mile area. I always thought Prospect Park and the Gardens blew Central Park away. Count your blessing that you live in the greatest borough in the city, in the greatest city in the world-Brooklyn, NY!

I live in Queens. I like that a ride to the city is only about 15-20 minutes by car , but I can come home to a peaceful neighborhood. There are also lots of great restaurants and shopping areas here.

I am from the Bronx, just minutes away from Yankee Stadium, home of the 26 time World Series Champions, the New York Yankees.
Besides the Yankees being in the Bronx (can't you tell I am a Yankee fan), you have the Bronx Botanical Garden and the Bronx Zoo, shows in Lehman College, and Bronx week.

Brooklyn! (Manhattan's under appreciated little brother).
I love that it could be a world class city on it's own (without Manhattan), but yet there are many parts of it that feels like small city.
The number one thing I love about it is that the tourists don't come out here!

I lived in Staten Island and I loved it. Not as much hustle and bustle like in Manhatten. You actually have houses with grass, clean beaches, good shopping....

BROOKLYN!!! I love brooklyn beacause its like it's own city...with about like 1million people. I love downtown,the zoo,coney island,everything!!!
