I agree with Mr. Fish above. My Senators split on this legislation. For the one that voted for this bill...I will help actively to throw his sorry butt out of office in the next election.
This goes way beyond party affiliations. This issue will make or break our Country in the coming years.

I know my Senators are not voting the way I want, or the way the people of California want.
Feinstein votes the way she wants.
Feinstein loves any bill that gives away taxpayer money to benefit illegals. You can bet money that she will profit from it.
“California Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D) chairs the Senate Rules Committee, but she’s also a Cardinal. She is currently chairwoman of the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies subcommittee, but until last year was for six years the top Democrat on the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies (or “Milcon”) sub-committee, where she may have directed more than $1 billion to companies controlled by her husband…
…The problems stem from her subcommittee activities from 2001 to late 2005, when she quit. During that period the public record suggests she knowingly took part in decisions that eventually put millions of dollars into her husband’s pocket — the classic conflict of interest that exploited her position and power to channel money to her husband’s companies.”

It is ridiculous the way Washington is run. Everyone votes for making their pockets the fattest and the way their party's top official says to vote. I have a lot of problems with Washington though. The President cheats on his wife? The President declaring war with no just cause and bad intelligence and never having to answer? Seriously. This whole thing is a joke.

It is disgusting. They don't listen to the people who voted them into office. The biggest liar is John Kyl, the senator from Arizona. He ran his election campaign based on anti illegal immigration, yet he is one of the authors of the amnesty bill. He is a human weather vane. The people of Arizona, at least the ones who voted for him, should be outraged.

If the politician does not vote the way I like I write him a letter and let him know how disappointed I am in his stance. If he does not change the way he handles business in the future I will not vote for him again. If he becomes a total pain in the backside I will help his opponent in the next election.

Politicans only care about a few things:
1. Themselves
2. How much $$ Lobbiest stuff in they're pockets for votes
3. Furthering they're political career so they can attend to #1 and #2
4. Whoreing themselves out to the media and American voters to get re-elected so they can attend to #1, #2, and #3.
They are all P.O.S. and this vote lets you know how they really feel about the people who put them there.

I liked the vote against cloture, but I think a lot who voted against it did so only to get leverage to increase the temporary worker provisions going forward. I don't like the bill, at all.

On some issues, my state's US Senators vote the way I like.
On some, they don't.
On some, they vote against each other.
I write, email, etc.
Don't be appalled, be active.

The reason they did is that most of them have illegals working for them and they don't want to go to jail. That may sound dumb, but you'd be surprised at how many of 'our' representatives do what is best for 'them', not us! It's totally ridiculous and I think that the people of the US should vote for 'regular people' to do our bidding! Enough of the over-paid, stupid people who think they know what is best for us. Who knows better than we do what is best for us? There is nothing in the Constitution that says our representatives have to be rich lawyers!
