Am I allowed to see them like any other person or stranger? Can I live in the same town? Work at their school? Can I legally be in my kids' lives since the courts decided I cannot have them to raise?

This should all be spelled out in the Court Order. If not ask your attorney. Each case and State is different. Sometimes it may be up to the foster/adopted parents. You really need to talk to your attorney or the case worker involved in this matter.

your question really can't be answered because there is not enough information nor do you state why your rights were terminated. also every state has different rules, you need to call your CPS and speak to the children's case manager. about living in the same town, well you can live any place and there are no laws stating other wise. but you should think of your children and whats in their best interest. they will always be your children but i encourage you to allow them a chance for a better life and when they are emotionally and physically grown they'll seek you out. good luck in your life and peace!

sorry to tell you that when your parental rights are terminated that means your children are like someone elses like you didnt give birth to them---they will be with a new family and if you worked at their school or try and see them that would like stalking and i doubt the new family will be really thrilled about your chasing them around looking for ways to be in their lives--i guess this sounds harsh but if you really wanted your kids and wanted to be with them and raise them you shouldve done what the courts or whoever told you to do before they made they threats to terminate your rights all together--why wouldn't you have taken care of them like they should have been taken care of in the first place--?? most parents spend their whole lives loving their kids and if i had to do things to keep them in my life--you can best believe that i would do whatever it took to keep them--you had them-you lost them--things wont ever be the same and I'm sorry to hear that you have to deal with this fact of life---but i guess you made your bed and now its time to sleep in it---im sorry once again and good luck!

i would think that you are only allowed to see them at certain times, and possibly supervised. there is a reason they took your rights away, and im sure it would only make it worse if you try to work at their school . of course you can live in the same town, your free to live anywhere. if i were you, i would get a good lawyer and see what you can do to change this descion.
good luck and i feel for the poor kids in this situation

Is this move by the courts a permanent one or temporary? I stopped one step short to removing my daughters rights from my grandson who I have custody of. My daughter can visit her son, but it has to be cleared through me first. She did not loss her rights, but she would have to petition the courts to get him back.

All states are different. Are your children with a family member? Removing your parental rights mean that you can not make the day to day decisions regarding the welfare of your children, but you should be able to visit with them. Probably through a court mediator. You should be allowed to see your children unless you have done something soa wful that you have to stay away form them.

Request a hearing through CFS or at least have them explain to you what your rights are.

I don't know your situation, but I sincerely hope you get it together and get your back. Get trying to you get it right.

Good Luck

I think that it might be possible to get them back, but I don't remember.

Try getting everything sorted out if you want them back.
Get a good job, get a good house, make sure you are able to buy food and clothing. And stuff like that.

since you lost them, you ARE a stranger, no contact with them, ect. you can live where you want, but unless the court says you can be in their lives, you cant... you have no rights- just like a stranger

what did u do to lose them...that would be a big factor in deciding whether or not u would be able to be a part of their lives.....even if u cant right now, they r ur kids and if u love them, do WHATEVER u have to do to get them back and dont ever lose them again.

i would talk to a lawyer or a cps worker. i know they really look after the kids. i would make sure whatever i did would not jeopardize anything with my children.

What do the court papers say? You should have gotten a copy of all the court papers, READ them.
