Accidentally because you didn't notice their headlights were on? Or intentionally because you were in a hurry? Did you feel guilty?

Yes, I have... The cars were coming from an odd angle to an intersection, where I had the right of way and they were supposed to yield. Obviously, they did not, and I got mad until I looked behind me and saw all the headlights on... I felt bad but knew I would have stopped if I knew it was a funeral.

Yes, we have. It was an accident, though. We were on a long 4 lane highway and there were no other cars. We thought it was strange that there was this long line of cars and no one was passing on the other side. We were only going about 50 in a 60 MPH zone. We started passing cars and then I noticed the headlights and told my dh that is was a funeral procession! We decided to pull off the road at the next town exit and take a break in order to let them move ahead. We did feel guilty because we didn't know it was a funeral.

No, but I nearly crashed into one once. I was driving down a winding country road, and didn't see it ahead. The funeral procession was actually coming from the other direction, and they had a cop on a motorcycle blocking the road (two lane road) in both directions, and directing the cars in the procession into a small cemetary. I was flipping through the radio stations and wasn't paying attention, I was speeding (55 in a 45--I'm telling you, this really was a country road and normally had VERY little traffic on it) and didn't have my eyes on the road. My sister looked up, screamed, I looked up, slammed on the brakes and skid into a ditch. The cop said, "Glad you were able to stop--one funeral is enough." What's truly embarrasing about this is that this was maybe 10 years ago, and my car at the time was a 1979 lemon yellow Cadillac El Dorado. EVERYONE in this funeral procession was staring (rightly so!) and the d@mn car was STUCK in the ditch. I had to drive forward and then in reverse repeatedly for about 10 minutes to rock the car out of it's resting position in the mud.

I haven't, but in my experience, cars that are part of the procession do as much as they can to be visible (ie lights on, follow closely, sometimes have magnetic flags). I do remember once I was driving in a funeral procession and we were stopped at a traffic light.....a kid standing on the sidewalk yelled 'it's a president parade' and started waving, thinking the hearse was a limo and we were the motorcade. Kind of funny.

Luckily I never have and hope I never do interrupt a procession.

The only reason I would is if I or someone in the car had to go to the hospital.

In Mississippi it is against the law. The police are in front and in back. Usually with road blocks... so my answer is no.
Also the lane coming towards you is suppose to stop. The police will flag them down... telling them to stop.

I have never. Sometimes it may seem a bit of an inconvenience but it is better to show some respect than to speed on past.

I did once because I didn't realize what it was. I felt really bad afterwards because the people in the car gave me nasty looks.
