Blind faith is to initially trust in something you accept as possibly true, even though at the time of acceptance, you don't have any evidence that what you trust in is true or not.

Like the blind man who trusts in the reality of his environment because he senses it with his mind, but can't see it with his eyes.

This is no different than believing in the existence of God because you can perceive Him in your mind and experience Him in your heart when He changes it, even though you can't see Him with your eyes.

You can't see God with your eyes, but you can "see" God with the mind's eye - perception.

I think there is a difference between faith and blind faith.

Faith is when you have some idea/hint that things are as you believe. Blind faith is when you do not and you still believe.

If you fall backwards into the arms of a friend...you have faith that they will catch you, but you know they are there. If they told you they'd be there at a certain time, and at that time you fall back but never look to see that they are actually there...I think that takes blind faith.

Blind faith is closing your eyes to all other possibilities that might contradict your faith, factual or otherwise just because you want to believe. This can be dangerous if you place your faith in the wrong place and allow someone to take advantage of you because of your faith (think of the abusive lover, or the abusive clergyman, etc).

There is a fine line between blind faith and conviction, it sounds like what you have now is conviction.

Blind belief/faith is willful belief /faith in something against all the evidence or despite the lack of evidence.
Through blind belief/faith we can believe/have faith in anything at all but it doesn't mean that the thing we believe/have faith in is so or has any basis in fact or reality.

Having no idea what the outcome will be, but trusting God to see you through it. To me blind faith and faith are kinda the same thing.

I think "blind faith" is believing in something without looking into WHAT a person believes, or why they believe it.

Blind faith is faith without even a shred of evidence.

Blind faith is believing in something you've been told or taught without you actually looking into it on your own and using your judgment on the matter or to see if any of it is really true or not!

The belief in an idea or thought which has not been reasonably set out in verbalized propositions and can be cogently argued.
A pretentious type of gnosis where the blind believer is totally sure of his beliefs and utterly unable to give an account of why.
It is also the faith of the Pharisees where a man thinks he is on the side of the righteous whereas he is in fact lost.

Blind faith is accepting things as truth with no questions. I think that's wrong if for no other reason you aren't appreciating your faith. Asking questions, doubting, its what makes you grow! It doesn't have to CHANGE your faith. You should never accept ANYTHING blindly. That's how people take advantage of people with faith. Know your heart, know your faith.

Blind faith is trust without seeing....to know God is a good God and you trust him enough to believe He will not lead you down a bad path....to believe that even when things look really bad He is in control and He will work all things for good for those that love Him...Be Blessed.
