I felt sooo awful & today the terrorist capture people & leave signs of torture. So?

My prayer is that there is an international (in all nations) hotline number that victims or those who know about victims can freely call & let us know who is torturing people & where they are.

Is this possible to do. Through satalite?

There needs to be an international army to help the victims of unwarrented imprisonment & torture. That also is freedom of religion where people can't be put to prison, torture & death for their faith.

Can we accomplish this somehow?

rosbif, Amnesty & others say the US torture terrorist prisoners. The ones that did go beyond the law got caught & sentenced. But I see this abuse to prisoners individuals who weren't abiding by US laws regarding. Torturers are evil & have a lust for doing this. It is antichrist at the core. Torturers are terrorists. The US interrigate & use methods that aren't actual torture. Unless they are interrogating against the law. I got bothered by Amnesty linking US to being torturers like these evil rulers throughout history & elsewhere today. Amnesty may be good to address my thoughts about torture to though.

You can't accuse President Bush of being a torturer. I stand by President Bush even if everyone told me he had a secret building where he stuck bamboo sticks up peoples fingers. President Bush's heart is for us and for other innocent civilians. He is actually preventing much torture to innocent people by standing up to terrorism & sending our troops to Aphganistan & then to Iraq, where Saddam & his kids tortured people.

Wow, that's a really good idea. Perhaps some NGO (non-governmental organization) like Amnesty International could spearhead it. Why not check with them - they have tons of experience around the globe and would know what is possible. You could also turn this into a summer internship or even a job (if U r old enough)!

Good luck! :)

The fox is guarding the henhouse, here. The United States ("land of the free" "greatest nation on earth" "leader of the free world" yadda yadda) is a nation that actively uses torture to coerce information from prisoners. We have a "president" who supports the use of torture, even though it has never been a way to get reliable information.
And we're supposed to be the Good Guys.
Snerk.
No, it can't be accomplished in the current political situation. Sorry. I feel yer pain.

There is a group for UN International Amnesty that is trying to report all sources of torture in the world. They do an annual report on the uses of torture in all countries, and it is considered to be the best authority on the subject. I think reporting to their agents is the fastest way to report someone. The reporting of it is great, but the UN is very bad about reacting to abuses. Iraq used torture for years and all the reports did nothing to stop it.

It wouldn't work. Too many people would prank-call it, or call it just to get back at someone they don't like--not to mention enforcing something like that would be an impossible, logistical nightmare. In any case, as long as you have backwards countries which enforce hardline versions of a single religion, you're going to have problems like torture remain prevalent.

It's politics. USA can't run to everyones rescue.

People already criticize us for taking out an evil dictator a few years ago remember? Even people in our own country.

Look at Sudan..........ten thousand upon ten thousand........I think they are saying millions have been killed/are being killed in OUR life time; nobody is doing anything about it.

No. It's bad enough to know that these barbaric actions occur, no need to watch it too. Unfortunately, humans seem to repeat their mistakes. The American government apparently condones torturing the terriorst captives, so I dont think you could rely on us.
