Ive never ordered anything in his name before. Im really surprised to get something like this because I never give out my children's names to any kind of companies unless I have to.

Its one of the top CC companies out there.

You should probably not be worried, but I would contact the number on the credit card offer and let them know that they just sent an offer to your 15 month old son, remove him from there list and make sure there is no one that is trying to obtain credit using his name and/or SS#. Best of luck to you.

If he's got his SSN already, it's very easy for credit companies to find it and send information. I wouldn't be too worried as long as it's from a big credit company and you DON'T (not that you would) answer the offer and GET a card. It IS possible to stop getting calls and letter junk-mail though. It escapes me now, but if you look it up online, you can call the number and remove your family member's names from mailing lists.

Not if he's flown. Airlines sell their passenger lists to credit card companies ALL THE TIME.

My son started getting credit card offers when he was 5 - when I first signed him up for frequent flier miles. They haven't stopped.

I would be worried. You should call the company and ask them how they got your son's name. Also, you should get a copy of his credit report. I just read an article about people stealing young children's identities because it is less like they will get caught.

No, he's probably on some junk mail list someplace and that's how they got the address. Did you ever order anything in his name? That would explain it.

You think that's weird - I once ordered a cat toy in my cat's name. You'd be surprised how much junk mail she got for quite awhile!
