I never wear shorts or skirts because I hate my birthmark that is visible. My legs are so nice except for my birthmark ruins it. Everyone always asks me why I never wear skirts or shorts and all I say is that it's not my thing when I really would love to wear them. My mom is always bugging me about it an it pisses me off! Being a teen, it's a big deal because I see other girls at school who wear shorts and skirts and it makes me wish I weren't so ashamed of it. What should I do?

Btw, cover up doesn't work it's too big and dark.

Depending on othe size of the birthmark, you could have it removed if your mom will allow it. But, again, depending on the size and shape, is there anyway you could maybe reframe the idea of the birthmark, and think of it as sexy or cute or quirky and wear shorts skirts/shorts anyway? Being confident about it and showing it off might make other kids think that it's cool and different. You deserve to wear whatever you want with confidence! Strut your stuff!

Try to ignore their comments. Its your choice what you wear or wear shorts/ skirts and use dermablend if it works to cover it up. Its basically your choice no matter what your Mom says or other girls are doing.

Yeah I would use make up to cover it up, and if people make comments about it tell them to buzz off.
