People will still be wandering around aimlessly knowing as much of the purpose of life as we do now.

More peaceful and less government.

For me? Well, let's see...I'll be 1047 years old...walking the golden streets of heaven. Ho Hum. Golden streets. Not much interested in gold, even on earth, so I'm sure it won't thrill me there either. It'll be all over the place. I have a mansion, but really, who cares? I don't need that. The weather is perfect. A tent would be fine. Not hungry. I can eat anything I want, any time I want, and not get fat. No cholesterol. No high blood pressure. No aches or pains. Everybody I see greets me "Hey Judy! Howyadoin?'" Of course the answer is "fine." Can't be anything but fine in heaven. Ho hum. And I get this for eternity.... I'm not real excited about any of that.

But then I look ahead with my then-perfect vision and I see . . . HIM! THE carpenter with nail scarred hands. THE teacher. THE Messiah. My lord and savior. MY Jesus. Even there, my heart skips a beat. Even though I see him all the time, it never becomes meaningless. My spirit soars. It is at that moment that I think heaven is really a beautiful place. Not because of the surroundings, but simply because HE is there. Life is good, very, very good for me in 1000 years.

In ten centuries? Human life, if it survives worldwide epidemics, nuclear exchanges, viruses, hunger, poverty, and an friendly space thing falling down upon us, will be as different from "now" as we are from human life ten centuries past, and more so because of new technologies, medical science, growth of the human brain, and several centuries before 3007, no religions but an abundance of intelligence, and maybe even wisdom. The sad thing for all of you chaps is that you will not be around to enjoy it. Into the ground most of you shall go, food for maggots.

With any luck, we'll be free of the self-imposed ignorance of religion and therefore making great strides toward realizing our intellectual potential as a species.

Much like it is now...people trying to get along....

People, will

work
eat
sleep
love
live

They may do it a little differently...but, human needs/desires have always been the same, since the beginning of time.

I think the air and water will be way too polluted for there still to be people living here. Global warming will pretty much make it unlivable too.
